I order my engines from TotalJDM (mixed experiences with them around here)... TorontoJDM.com - Total Japanese Domestic Motor
I get my engine installations done at iGarage. Igarage - Markham
You'll need mounts and a bunch of other stuff, Ivan will walk you through it, price it out and get everything done in short order.

Its always best to go to a local company and check the motor out. Also I am not sure if you are planning on doing any additional modifications before installing the motor in the car, but after many swaps in many different cars I have found that it is very important to pull the head and check everything carefully no matter what you are told. Also replacing the head gasket, timing belt, plugs wires and small gaskets helps for peace of mind.

JDM Engineland sells junk from the middle east.....they say the shipment is from japan but i have investigated into the actual shipping containers and guess what? no origins from japan. I have purchased various b20b motors for b20vtec's took them to Gord Bush and Mr. Bush confirms that the motors have well over 150 000km not the 50-60 000 these shylocks are claiming.

See how defensive these guys are.....i am speaking from experience. You guy's don't even honour your warranty's. A.J. japanese would be the best bet for REAL Japanese import quality....not JDM ENGINELAND.

Save yourself some hassle and don't buy from JDM ENGINELAND......These guys are more concerned with the number of post's you have made, and not the quality of the products they sell. Pm me back if you want a real set up for you civic that you can drive before purchasing. Ask the clowns at JDM ENGINELAND if they can do that for you. They talk a good game , but talk is cheap. The people i know have been in the scene longer then these guys.. Check out the poster for Cayuga Dragway from 1999.....first 12 second civic in canada.

Well i have'nt had a problem with them yet and ive known Steve before it was called JDM Engineland. My brother has had his b16 in his car for over 10yrs and still is running without a problem. Ive also got a motor for my car 4yrs ago and did a compression test right when it got installed and it was great.
You will always get a crappy motor from any importer once in a while, thats why i always pick the motor myself. Im not here defending anyone but im just telling my experience with them.

Buying used parts, engines, cars etc etc is always a gamble no matter how you look at it, and no matter which shop you buy from ! It's always BUYER BEWARE when buying used !
More often than not, Japanese JDM engines are pretty much bullettproof, unless they have been severely beaten on !
There will be times that someone will buy a faulty or worn used part/engine, but that is when good customer service comes in from the shop/store you buy it from.
This is the cost of doing business, to keep the customer.
I honestly do not believe that JDMengineland nor TorontoJDM etc will purposely sell someone junk ! They know that the internet is very powerful these days... and word gets around quickly !
