harmonic balancer or not

im going to bring all the parts to gord bush performance in a few months. they are going to balance and assemble the engine. if the crank assemblie is balanced, is it good idea to get a harmonic balancer or shud i be fine without it. this engine is going to be for drag application and street.

thanks

The only pulley i'd put on other than OEM is fluidampr, but they are pretty expensive.

if the whole crank assembly has been balanced, you'll be fine with the oem crank pulley.

YES, you should have your harmonic balancer (whichever kind you have) on there or bring it to him for when he does your balancing.

I would highly recommend replacing it. The stock OEM ones are 3 piece, over time they come loose and belts start hitting the sides and making a lot of noise. (happened to me). If you are doing all that work might aswell replace it.
I had billet 1 piece pulley and had no problems. It coated me 150$ or so. Supposedly it was light weight but I got it just because it was 1 piece rather than 3 piece like oems are.
