Nowadays you could probably make it happen for under 3K, but that's if you install yourself. Otherwise cost of parts will probably put you at about 3K because remember you should always replace clutch / timing belt / water pump / all spark.

Once an engine like this is in the car, you really want to avoid having to remove it to do anything.

I installed an H22 in an EG Civic and didn't realize the harmonic balancer was off.. God damnit it was NOT fun working on it with that engine in the bay.

Each side literally has like 1cm of clearance all around - depending on mounts used.

Also depends on type of car you are putting it into.

Exactly, it's also a good time to change the clutch and flywheel. Costs much less when the motor is on the stand.

I also had the motor bay refinnished.

Turbo lol. I know some people already noticed that I keep saying turbo vs swap but after driving my buddies turbo golf, I can't wait lol.
You could get turbo setup for 3000$'ish depending what you find for what price.

Not sure torque wise but with a small snail you could get 220'ish hp without a problem.

You don't need a MM to go fast. My all motor non vtec smokes my other MM engine.
Any sohc D turboed will be fast. Even on 8 psi you can easily make 200'ish whp. Do the Vitara set-up on your block and you can easily push out 400whp.

Do some reading and homework and you can turn your D series in'to a monster.
www.fjdistributors.com Look for the Vitara package for your engine.

Don't do the H22 swap big waste of money.just turbo it and get a good tune done on the engine.

Thats just to build your block to withstand the amount of boost you throw at it. This does not in anyway give you a complete turbo.
Once you use this kit your block will be'able to handle a 'lot of psi instead of a stock block which can only handle 7 to 10 psi max.

Okay so this is my plan

MAYBE get a d motor with vtec to get a bit more torque (1000)
D series turbo (1000)
vitara kit (500)

=2500 which is good

Btw I was lookin at eBay turbos and they're like 500 bucks so I'll be getting it from there and also

How much psi can I apply

Buy the turbo rebuild kit for your engine and keep it???
Why would you waste money on another engine??? Vtec or non vtec it does'ent matter, you can make huge amounts or hp if you build your block.
The Vitara kit sold by FJT is exactly what it says it is. It replaces your stock block componets with aftermarket so you can crank up the boost to 32psi if you want........so you can make 400+hp safely without blowing your engine.
I don't no how else to explain it to you, very simple.
