D16Y8 head

just curious, what would someone say the maxium amount of HP they would aim for using a stock head and feeling pretty safe about it. i know all heads depending on the wear but just an overall max hp they would push with a y8 head.

lol what a question.

what car...what bottom end? there are so many variables but high level....my guess is that a y8 head on top of a y7 bottom (the mini me) may yield around 6-8 hp to the wheels at the top end.

well ok yea i should have been clear on what im doing. I have a t3t4 strapped to a stock d16y8 and im rebuilding the bottom end with a clean head coming in. ive seen most people only build the short block. i was just kind of curious to what the head could hold in terms of power so i dont blow **** to pieces

its for my 97 civic si. keeping the d16y8 in it just getting some better internals to hold a bit more power.

don't worry about the head. It'll hold up fine to the extra power.
