Are all D series starters interchangable?

Are all D series starters interchangable?
I need a starter for my d16z6

my old engine was a d15b7 and that starter seemed to work fine...

As far as i kno they are. Its not the motor that makes the difference, its the flywheel. All d motors share a common flywheel so u should be fine.

Personally, i've used a 96 starter on an 89 motor, among other combos
