wipers

just a question...today u guys know that it's been raining the whole day. i was driving to go to walmart when i noticed this ticking noise coming from my wipers. the sound was like when u turn ur signals and get that ticking noise(tik tak tik tak) but this one is more quieter than that. it only happens when i put my wipers to first click - means wipers goes every like 2-3 seconds. when i put it to fast/fastest it doesn't make any noise

any help will be appreciated...the sound is coming from under the steering more like from inside the dash board

Not sure, I noticed it a couple of times, but only when the wiper is going one way, can't remember if it was up or down. I can tell you tomorrow if it rains. When it is on full, I don't hear it

Lets see if anyone else has this issue, it has never done any damage for me, I think it may be the relay for mine when it is in the intermittant mode for the click

Bingo! It's the relay, on intermittant electricity is hitting the relay intermintitly therefore you here the clicking of the relay when you have them on slow or more the relay is closed so therefore no ticking.

Don't think its something that needs to be fixed. It is normal I believe.

Every relay makes a click when they close. See in the pic you can see a metal tab and below the tab there is coils this creates a magnetic field closing the circuit when the tab hits the coils it makes a click (This is not a scientific explanation just an easy way of describing it)
