White turn signal bulb

Just wondering if its legal to use a white turn signal bulb, and if so, what kind should I get to ensure maximum visibility?

I believe white turn signals at the front are legal. White signals in the back are illegal.

Having a white front turn signal is legal. It's just the blue tint on the bulb that most manufacturers use than could get you in trouble with the police coz the officer could say that it's blue (when in reality, the blue is there in order to create the white light).

Some domestics like Buicks and Cadillacs actually have white front turn signals so they're definitely legal (it's just that they're more of the "yellowish" white instead of the "bluish" white)

the hyper whites give off a blueish tinge at some angles. . .if i were personally a cop....i wouldn't charge u for anything and wouldn't care...but there are some out there that do care. and i know a couple of ppl on this fourm that have gotten tickets for the hyper whites. . .invest in mods carefully. . . a 15 dollar thing could make u end up with a ticket worth wayyyy more. . .and even if u win...ur still wasting ur time and money to go to court . . .or get the ticket dropped. . or w/e. . .

i'm not trying to be a bitch or anything....i'm just explaining. . what might or could happen...just to save u some trouble. . .honestly do w/e u want...cause i know that'z what i do....lol

To answer my own question, I spoke to a former OPP officer today. He said that white turn signals are legal so long as they're visible during the day. As for the blue, green, and other strange coloured signals, he said that you could definately get ticketed for that. Especially the blue signals, since blue lights are used on snow removal vehicles; some cops might want to just ruin your day by using it as a reason to ticket you.

He did say however, that red turn signals for headlights (although I've never seen any), would probably be fine aswell.

I cleared my headlights, and just left the stock bulbs in there, they shine pale yellow, and he said that it was fine.
