do it yourself man.....in the price of a paint job..you can buy a brand new lip altogether. its super easy.

You're kidding right? Painting it yourself will look like you did it yourself! It will never look the same as a body shop doing it in an isolated room with proper baking to cure the paint.

thats true..
but you're painting lips, not parts like your door or something... so the imperfections in your paint job does not stand out as much.. they're pretty unnoticable actually

may not be 10/10 but its a lip...plastic...not a metal part that may need a damn proper job....anyway...here is mine which was a DIY. Done in under $30 and 2 hours of labor time. and by doing so..i saved $100 and bought a rear lip..lol

Reason the paint will look different because the aerosol can nozzle cannot spray out finer particles than that of a professional nozzle, then there is skill, tools, environment and other issues.

unless you're doing a showcar, just DIY - save ur money...
lips are so low to the ground, no one will notice slight imperfections
they are bound to be cracked/chipped anyways

lol thx..I did it following your diy and a couple of others..judging by your outcome pics is your painted surface smooth as the base of your car? Mine appears to be a little more rough

it is prob alil more rough because of floating debris in the air unless u painted it in an inclosed area and did alot of prep around the environment there will be some rough specs bc of it, otherwise its pretty smooth and all. but dont worry as the bugs rocks etc start hitting up on it or hills n bumps those rough specs wont matter too much anymore=P

right on jeff.....with a DIY....you cant get the smoothness of OEM finish...i usually use three coats of primer, four coats of paint and then like 6-7 coats of clear....it looks cool and alright but its still kinda rough to touch....fine with me.
