That's when you the two cops like the 3 stooges, and run for you life... Rear signal lights...no. Clear is strictly reserved for the direction that the vehicle is moving in...like reverse or headlights...if the vehicle is moving forward, the rear may have one of these combos...red or red/yellow. I have red/clear, but with amber bulbs. As for the front...white should be cool if you read the letter of the law...but they can still be ****** about it.

Well for some projector lights, they don't have amber at all. I wonder if the projector lights say "for off road use only"

No where in the HTA says you can't have white turn signals, it only states no flashing of blue light... just because 2 cops say it's illegal doesn't mean there right, but you will definately get harassed.

Flashing blue light on snow-removal equipment

(31) No person shall, while operating a road service vehicle on a highway, plow, salt or de-ice the highway or apply chemicals or abrasives to the highway for snow or ice control unless the road service vehicle is equipped with a lamp producing intermittent flashes of blue light visible for a distance of 150 metres from all directions.

Restriction on use of flashing blue light

(32) No person shall operate a lamp that produces intermittent flashes of blue light on a highway except in the circumstances described in subsection (31). 1996, c. 33, s. 11.
Ok tell me if i'm wrong on this. I interpret this as saying No flashing blue ligths on the front but constant on blue lights are ok.

Technically thats what it means... but you could just get harassed and than you gotta go fight in court which is a big hassle for many.

If on your ticket you get

Violation of HTA (32)

Than you goto court and prove its not flashing and ur scott free

Has anyone that posted ever gotten a ticket for white corners, you guys sounded like you never gotten a ticket before and are gambling on when it is your time to get pulled over. Unfortunately, I was a gambling man, had the white corners with blue tint. Got pulled over, got b#$ch slap with a $110 fine, few more weeks and it is court for me.
You can hook your HID ballast to your HID corner bulbs and it would flash HID white and that would be ok. A ticket is a ticket, should not have to argue this issue. The tinted bulbs are all meant for off road use, that means for "show" don't mean literally off road driving, it is for standing still and posing. I personally don't have problems with flashing white, blue or any other colours, but then again, I did make up the stupid law. So if you don't want to be slap with a ticket then stay stock.

I swapped out the xenon bulbs and put the stock ones back. That really pissed me off so I bought HID instead

Once and for all............. ...........The light EMMITED from a bulb has to be white in colour.........now this is where it gets blured. True white light contains ALL of the colours. Just because a blub LOOKS BLUE, doesn't nessessarally mean it will give off a blue light. The blue glass is there to filter off the other colours that tends to fracture the light in different directions.

Now.........take a ** VW Bug........those headlights are tinged yellow. A newer car has hallogen, which gives you a whiter light. The newest cars have HID.......closest to PURE white light. That's why they are so bright...........now, why do they look blue? Well, the closer you get to the ultra violet wave length (can't be seen by the naked eye), the more blue you will see towards that section of the spectrum. It doesn't MEAN that they are blue lights......it just filters out all the crap that you don't need. As for the newest cars that have the Purple/violet light..........see above.

ie.........What colour is the sun? (trick question)

A cop once told me..........
The way I check to see if a headlight bulb is legal or not, is easy. I take a peice of white paper.....put it in front of the bulb......and then I look at the light that is shinning off the paper.......if it is white......I leave it alone.........If it is any other colour, depending on my mood, and if the driver wasn't/was rude to me, I might give him a ticket. Just becuase it looks blue, doesn't nessessaraly mean they are. Every officers eyes are different......what looks blue to one cop, might look ok to me......it's a grey area......an opinion..........just like tints.
This is also a reason they are tying to bring rules and regulations when it comes to tints. California has this.......there is no "grey" area when it comes to this. There IS a legal limit (%).

The HTA is vague on certain things.....remember.....the HTA was written quite a while back.......there was no way for them to know what we would have today. That's why you should read it.....ask questions......and when in doubt.......get a legal opinion.

Lawyers are good at finding loop holes. :working:

My 2C's.....

I'm going back to bed now.....
