Suggestions for H1 HID system

Hey all,

I am looking for some input on purchasing an H1 HID system. I have pretty much decided that 6000K(clean white) is the way to go for getting the most light... but I would rather have a slightly blueish look of the 8000K bulbs...regardless, I'm interested in finding the names of manufacturers of different kits. I'm looking for the kit that produces the cleanest, most reliable power output and is just generally the all around best kit (ie. not the most expensive, but the best bang for your buck)

Kit is being installed on a 2000 Civic Coupe SiR w/ H1 conversion...

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Man, those pictures of the Prolumen kit on the EJ6 look ****ing AWESOME, Prolumen it is ... I'm going to have to have a shop send it to me priority mail, I'm in the Hamilton area (Brantford to be exact), any suggestions for where to order the Prolumen 6000K kit? I think I might just call the guys at OptionJDM, any chance of a discount if I mention you, Tego?

The Prolumen kit is available for $450.00 CAD from OptionJDM, what was the special price? I'm not sure if it's still on...I'll call tomorow and ask unless I hear otherwise from you, RJ. Thanks for all your help here.

I'd go with 6000K.. its slightly blue (I think what you're looking for).. I think 8000K is too blue.. my buddy had 8000 in his golf and he got a ticket for being too blue..

infinitude on h-t is having a group buy on techone kits. 210usd shipped for just low beams! that includes shipping to canada. tell him to send it to you as a gift to save on duty. thats still under 300 bucks to your door. 210usd is like what, 260cad? the prolumen kits from optionjdm are 390 for 6000k aren't they? i bought my kit off that guy on HT. the only problem i have is my high beams but they are working to help me solve that issue. i've not heard any complaints at all with the low beam only hids.

Prolumen HIDs from OptionJDM for the win. These things are awesome, and the hardware is extremely high quality, all the fittings are weather proofed very nicely and the install went smoothly. They light up just as shown on OptionJDM.com, they're ****in great...believe me... everyone should have a pair of these. Nice dealing with OJDM, too. Bought a OEM CF 99-00 hood while I was there for the first time. ^^
