I have been running 80/100 W headlights for 4 years now, so far so good, no problems with wiring , melting housing etc. They just don't last as long as the regular bulbs. I have tried Hella Optilux and generic no-name ones. I find the no-name ones work just fine. I found the light from the Optilux to be a bit yellow still while the no-name ones are pure white, no blue at all eventhough they are tinted bule.
