sealant for headlight

im goin to black house my headlight soon

need to know which silicone/sealant to use
so i can put the headlight back together


need your help TORONTOCIVIC MEMBERS?

use any automotive silicone sealants..... marine sealants for boats is great too..

3m silicone, black or clear your choice...make sure its for exterior

i just picked sum off the wall crap from my local auto parts store..... worked great..... dont remember name but had a red/white tube, bout 5" long

has anyone BLACKHOUSED thier headlights?

if so how r the lights?
any pics?

any condesation after doing it?
any 411 would help?

im just wondering if its worth it blackhousing the headlights

It is for pure looks, nothing else. So really, can't say whether it is worth it or not. It is a matter of going through the trouble and do a DIY, that's about it.

It does look decent than chrom housing. As for silicon, I was at one time thinking about it so I bought a tube from HD, it is transparent, for exterior and on the bottle it says "water resistance"

That should do.
