See looks to me that this was done half assed..

Or maybe the problem is with my NEC LCD 2080UX..

I only gave my initial response because I have had personal experience with that company..

And I know they could have given your wheels the FULL attention they DESERVED..

I can appreciate the DIY effort but sometimes things are best left to professionals..

What's wrong with the circled spots? I don't see any flaw... I think the rims look excellent.

It looks like the original white paint..

Look at the inverted shot..

If it was the shadow of the spoke it should be lighter..

Now look at the original..

Imagine yourself standing infront with a spray can.

Where would you miss??

hahaha...

so i'm the loser for caring about what this dude said.

i messaged you just to give you some feedback as to what i thought about your posts.. get over yourself, face it your posts were UNNECESSARY.

and don't think I'm going to get into this whole net drama thing you're probably used to, geek.

I posted this only to show people I know in TCC, and people who can't see my car for whatever reason..

As for missing a few spots, yeah so what.. I admit there are parts behind the face of the rim that were missed. You know what? 1 trip on the highway and you can't even notice it now.

And since you're bashing my ghetto DIY work, do me a favor and post a pic of your car. Then I can go insane with photoshop too!!!

or even better, approach me in person and flame my car. that way I can just laugh at how you REALLY ARE a geek in person!

for those of you leaving USEFUL feedback, thanks..

I really like your car and I think it looks super clean man. The rims look nice and if your on a tight budget you seem to have found a way to redo them and not spend tons of money. Some input I might say would be to maybe redo the process and get them painted the same color as your car, that would look yummy.
Dont mind 94EG6HB, everyone is entitled to there own opinion and there is an ignore feature. Keep it clean.

Mr.Geek to you..

Opinions are like ********..

Everyone has one..

Admit you made a mistake and fix it..

Stop kissing everyones *** that said great work because on closer inspection it is far from..

I'll buy you a coffee next meet and we can talk..

That's unless you wanna get straight to brawlin'..

Which is perfectly fine with me but not so good for you..

I got a new TCC board name for you..

VOLKBUTCHER..

Considering the high visibility of my vehicle I respectfully decline.

You wanna see it..

Go to a meet..

It is also in a few DKN galleries if you care to hunt around..

ANY feed back is USEFULL feed back.....(it's how you take it)

Why are you being so defensive? YOU were the one that posted the pic.......YOU were the one to wanted to get a reaction/comments to the work you did.

94EG6HB gave his oppinion. If you didn't want negative replies, then you shouln't have posted. (imo)

Here's mine.

Rims that are not done properly WILL eventualy get that sandblast effect to them from regular driving. The paint when not done properly, will NOT hold up to everyday use.

As for the rest of the missing paint.....ie....backside, you should of taken the rims off.....sanded them.....primmed them.....THEN painted them. I will tell you right now, the egdes will be the first to start to show. The ONLY way that can be stoped from happening, is to take the tire off the rim to do a proper job.

Using the "1 trip on the highway and you can't even notice it now" excuss is funny. (what happens when you wash the rims?)

did you know that brake dust will ruin a rim finish when left on the rim?

.......But I'm sure you already knew that though.

Let us know when the paint starts to show through/peel. I'd like to know how long it held up.

Other than that........nothing else to say.......other than, it "looks" nice.

It really does seem like you have a problem with any negative comments about your vehicle...

I get it now..

You get slammed on another board and now come to us for approval??

That's funny..

You know I had a perfect MINT set of del sol seats for your car..

Ask anyone..

They have seen none better..

But I am afraid of what you "might" do to them..

I'm the nicest "GEEK" you will meet.

I just don't like HACK JOBS.

They cost more longterm..

I will help you fix your HACK JOB if requested..

The funniest post in that thread.....

not the worst car I've seen. close though.

I'm sorry, but I found that funny.

some people can be soooooooooooo mean.

Do YOU like the work you did? Isn't THAT what matters?

There are people with diffent opinions.

ie.......I like to put french fries in my hambuger, some people think thats wierd......I just tell them that the food all ends up in the same place anyways, so why not let the fries have a friend on the way down?

It's your car, enjoy it. (just don't get your underwear in a bunch when someone criticizes your car, or the work you did to it.)

My 2C's.

jesus.. here we go.. this is a complete waste of my time but i'll humour you dudes...

i posted that **** on honda-tech.com because me, my girl, and my friends get a kick out of the responses... not even close to a serious issue, just something i mentioned once to my friends.

i get a kick out of the funny *** replies i get sometimes. oh btw, i like the " the sideskirts and front bumper make me wanna puke " better than the one you posted..

it's that simple.. i dont get riled up despite what you people think... i don't take the net (nevermind some forums) seriously when it comes to criticism.. sure i reply in defense sometimes but i'm never serious. some of you geeks are just reading my replies with too much clockwork.

anyways... here we go again.. get riled up geeks!

94EG6HB: who cares what honda-tech thinks? exposing that thread made it even more apparent you're a friggen geek.. you took the time to dig that up??? jesus..

PULOVR: wtf? listen old man (well at least you look like one)... i remember you when you were hanging around flea market for NO REASON asking ME for advice on your car... yeah that's right when your car looked like ***, and you were asking me to get parts together for you. i've been IN (oh you don't remember?) your car, and have seen your car up close. and if i may add my .02, your car was the perfect example of a half-fast job. i'll stop the exposure there if you can stay quiet from now on..

as for getting approval from TCC? or rather, ANY online site/forum... god.. lol no comment. you guys are... wow.

and guys...cmon.. it's WHEEL PAINT.. DUPLICOLOR WHEEL PAINT. TRACK TESTED AGAINST SANDBLASTING (YES SANDBLASTING), STONE CHIPS AND OTHER SUCH ENVIRONMENTAL DANGERS. cmon you two kinda guys should know this stuff... and if you didnt know, well then my rims themselves will make you both shut up after a good season of use.

phew..

does this mean i'm banned from going to any TCC events?

We just wanted the best for your car...

Experience says they will need to be redone shortly..

Another poster to this thread sent me that link(no I'm not saying who)

I can understand why you would do this to **** rims.

But why to these VOLK'S?

They deserve a greater degree of perfection...

You have actually decreased the value while trying to add value..

well perhaps have you considered he might not care the value of the rims anymore since he owns it?

as bad as it may be, it's far from being un-salvagable right? Just give him the credit for his DIY job and leave it at that, looks good or bad, it's in the eye of the beholder
