Projectors with Hella Projector Units PROBLEMS!
I finally fit them into the projectors sealed her all up and whatnot but the light output is TERRIBLE, I can't even see 4 feet infront of me with HIDs. I don't know whats goin on, everyone else seemed to have success with these retro fitting into housings but i'm getting the worse light output possible.
Any clues? THe only thing I can think about is the chrome front piece that covers the front so you can't see the inside is blocking the light somehow but I should still get more light the is showing. If I look directly at the car I can see the projector fine and the it looks really good just no god damn light coming through for some reason.

what kind of projectors did you get? the h7 or the h9?
how did you put the bulb into the projector? It sounds to me as that you just threw the bulb into the projector. Doing that screws up the focal point and quite possibly put the bulb into a position where very little light is getting through....thus your crappy light output. When it comes to hid and projectors a key element is focal point. I suggest you measure the halogen bulb that is supposed to go into the projector and then measure the hid bulb that you are using. Then, you can see the capsule inside the hid bulb (which is where the light is generated), and compare it to the halogen bulb. You must place the centre capsule of the hid bulb into the exact same place as the halogen bulb would be, or as close to is as possible......and when I say close I mean by like millimeters, not centimeteres. Thats the only way to get the proper optics.
