Painting Mouldings

Ait guys its time to paint my mouldings!

I already know how ot do it and everything. I am gonan pick up sum paint and sandpaper etc... soon.

I was wondering if there is anyone else that is plannin on doing this like paint their mouldings, nozles, etc..

If they are I would be glad to do it along side wit them I know there was a pervious post but since they all gone i started this one.

My car is Satin Silver (i think) its the 2000 Honda Civic SE if someone or alot of people are planning on doing this I can also get a digital camera so we can take pics in progress and use it as an article here.

So wat do u guys say?

Ait guys lets run it den lets see who else wants to do it still tho...

so where does everyone live ne ways?

I was thinking of doing it sumwhere that is close to like Candian Tire or any other paint shop places JUST incase we screw up.

Here is the plan we all meet up at one place and start to work on 1 car at a time this way if one screws up the other can go and get the materials or whatever needed to fix it also 2+ heads are better then one ne ways.

I live pretty near to a Canadian Tire and a Honda Dealership so i was thinking we all do it at this park i know off if the weather is rite its pretty big (the parking lot and barely people come there) i live in scarborough.

Neilson & Finch to be exact the park is called Neilson Park so wat do u guys say?

Also who else is in

Make a list of the people who is comming just paste and copy i will start:

This would have to be done in a garage, cuz wind and dirt particles are gonna get in your fresh paint and that'll just mess it up.

Oh and it'll take a whole afternoon to do this regardless of the number of cars, whether it's one or 5 cars it will still take a whole afternoon, and the skirts/pieces should be left overnight to dry. For best results you need to apply alot of very light coats with a 15-20 minute drying period between coats.

Ur rite jugglez i forgot about that i just figured that there wont be any wind and it would be a perfect day. Yea and i already knew about the time it would take wat i meant was like just incase like one screws up the other can be ready to go and get the part you kno.

Also we cant run those covered carwashes cuz usually if the weather is good outside people tend to wash their cars n if there is like 5 cars doing paint work in them people are gonna start wondering wtf is going on in there.

Also i was thinking instead of masking the door and the painting the mouldings, nozzles etc... we jus remove hte actual piece (i kno it will take off some time but its better being safe then sorry and like if we remive it there is a better chance of it being oem condition and look. so who is in?

Lets see, as for a garage, I got one, but its pretty small. It'll fit 5 or so of us, but just know that my garage is really messy and ****. Don't really think its the best place to work, but its a start. Anyone got a nice big garage or anything? I know Asim was offering his driveway, but is there a garage?

For the paint, VSM and Satin Silver they do not have at Canadian Tire (Hwy 7 and weston, albion and kipling locations) do not have them. Sames goes for Honda dealership (sisley - no aerosol) So far I was told that Sherwin has it there. I still gotta drop by there sometime, else everything else I got already except the paint.

So lets see who's coming....

I kinda wanna paint my side skirts, but no one has my color

Cyclone (Grayish) Blue Metallic Clearcoat

Where can I get the paint? Canadian Tire doesn't have it. Anywhere else to check?

i know for sure that the canadian tire at st clair and keele (the new big one...they have a whole section for perfomance stuff)..has it....well i was there two weeks ago...they had 4 cans (the VSM color..sorry not sure about the blue)...

as for painting...i guess we can remove the stuff and paint in the garage...will take less room....but how do u take off the mouldings?

Ya Duy, I know, I should check out that Canadian Tire for the color. Seems like we got some to confirm that the paint is there. Saves me gas.

Thanks for letting us know that its there ThEiDzKiD!

Hmm...would one aersol can be enough to paint both side skirts???

The cans aren't that big, you should buy at least 2, or 3 just in case.
