OEM front bumper vs Aftermarket
#2
I tried one on my 98 awhile back...Three minutes later I put my original back on and got it fixed. didn't fit right where it sits under the marker light closest to the fender. The curve on the aftermarket just wasn't right and left a big gap....Get an original.

I had 5 bumpers on my 2000 sedan.
1 - original OEM
2 - aftermarket ABS plastic bought from tek notik...fit like ****, broke after 2 weeks on both sides due to the stress it was under from poor fitment. Took me 2 hours to install it because it would not fit properly.
3 - aftermarket urethane - much better fitment, quality and longevity. It only broke because someone backed into it. I had to do a very slight amount of trimming with a rotary tool around the headlight to get it to look like OEM. Because I had removed and installed the bumpers on my car so many times, the side hooks that help keep it up had weakened so there was a little bigger gap than normal. It was more than tolerable
4 - aftermarket urethane again. Same material as OEM. Some asshat decided to stop driving out of a gas station and put his car into reverse while we were exiting. Went through insurance and...
5 - OEM bumper - fit great, but the paint started peeling at the bottom because the primer was so old from sitting in the Honda warehouse.
I would honesty get an aftermarket urethane bumper over OEM. Fitment is nearly identical and the quality of the material is the same. They cost around $120 primed and ready to be painted which is a lot better than $300. If you get an OEM used bumper, it will cost a lot to prep.
