Arrow Need steelies installed plus alignment!

Hey guys...
As we all know its snowin everywhere now..

Im STILL sitting on summer rims and summer racing tires..so its not good at all for me.

my car has a 2.75' drop so I cant really get under it with a jack.

I was wondering if any of you can help me out ...if you work at a shop or whatever.

Also while the wheels are off, Im going to quickly just raise my car cuz its on coilovers and then you can put on the steelies..

PLEASEEEE w/b ASAP cuz I need to be sittin on steelies ASAP!

I will probably call up a few shops tomorrow if I dont get enough replies here and just get it down.

Dont want to take any chances.

Admins...You can close this thread on or after Nov 19th. Thanks

put some pieces of wood and drive over them. get it high enough so you can put the hydraulic jack under. i think that's the only way to tackle cars that are dumped. get a friend to hold the wood so you can get onto them.

Go back to Scott or Doug at Leading Edge.

The OEM jacks are small and great for lowered cars.

hehehe, oem wont fit :-p

As for wood... I have wodden ramps and an oem jack...no hydrolic jack.

to be honest..its my first car, Ive put every penny I earned into it..and I dont want to mess anything up. I know changing tires is prob one of the simplest tasks but the fact that it is lowered changes alot of things. PLUS I'll be adjusting the coilovers between the wheel swap so I'll need to get an alignment eitherways.

Do you know of Scott Newman does alignments???

don't go so far for an alignment. do you need to align your front wheels only or all 4? there's a place down by central parkway and wolfdale if you want to get your alignment done but i'm not sure if they deal with dumped cars. they aligned my car which is dropped 1.75. 60 bucks to align 2 wheels and i can't remember how much for all 4.

what I need to get done...

my car has a 2.5-2.75 drop...

-I want someone to take off my summer rims,
- they or I can adjust my coilovers to raise the car while the rims are off.
-get the steelies but on which have tires already mounted and balanced..
-last but not least I'll need an alignment since I'll be raising my car

Now..that being said...is there a onestop place where I can go and get all this done. Hopefully its someone who knows how to lift a lowered car.

I dont really know how much damage it can do to drive without an alignment but If I cant get it all done in one place Im willing to drive someplace else for an alignment...

Maybe you should have put some money into some decent tools and research before buying your car then?...Just an idea.

aright cool, leme just forward my life 3 years ahead so we can sit down and compare our lives...

I did what I wanted, put all my money that my parents didnt hand down to me either nor did I win a lottery.. I put it into a car that had everything that I wanted..now if I had invested in the tools and research Id probably be a year older by that time...and I probably still wouldnt have a car like this..

so now..you tell me whats smarter?

If I have to spend a lil more to get stuff done..Im happy to do it cuz I can support myself..

So thanks for thread crapping n showing off but I only had this thread up to find a good shop close to home to get a few things done that I dont have to for.

gluck with your cars n your job n home.

I just don't understand why some people put all this money into there vehicles then don't have the means by either tools or mind to work on it themselves. They just keep throwing money at it and don't learn anything by it. I just think something as remedial as changing tires and raising a car is pretty simple for someone who has as nice a car as you. What would you do if you got a flat on the hwy block 4 lanes of traffic cause you don't have the right jack cause your cars to low?------This is my point for $100 bucks max you could by or have the correct stuff to do the job yourself. Then you take it to any alignment shop since it's already been raised and have that done there. I don't expect anyone to pay upwards of 50g's to have their own alignment rack. If you want to drive to Barrie i would be more then happy to assist you in the Job and you could use my tools however you have to do the work.

see now were talking,

if I were to get a flat on the highway..sadly enuff Id call CAA, a flat means the car is lowered even more at that end and raising it would take too ppl. One to manually lift the body and other to pop in the jack.

the jack fits, but only if someone holds the body up while I pop in the jack.

also I have a locking lugnut so taht means that I have to have the key for that locking lugnut on me at all times..Im not gonna leave it in the car cuz it will help a theif, neither am I carrying it on me.

To be honest man...I work 67 hours a week since Im on co-op plus partime right now..
I dont have the energy nor the time to get all this stuff done out in the cold.

So thats pretty much my story. Id love to do all this stuff myself..I didnt just buy this car cuz it looked good, I love every inch of it and the work that went to make it so.

If I had the time n money and know how I would have done it myself but I didnt.

Oh well, tomorrow Im going to try n get the steelies put on somehow after work n get an alignment done by someone else....

if anyone has any recommendations around missisauga please let me know..and plz dont give me shops just cuz ur buddy works there or ur gonna get discounts...I dont want anyone to f*ck up my car...

*sigh* there ARE places in sauga that will do dumped cars, so there's no need to go so damn far. that garage i told you about on erindale station and burnhamthorpe will raise your car and change your tires for you. they're called racing evolution six. search them up on yellowpages and give them a call. they are open six days a week.
