need help pickin wheels

Hey i am in the process of looking for rims. origionally i was thinking of getting 16's with 205/45/16 but then as i was looking around i came across a deal for 17's with rubber. the rubber was 205/40/17 im not sure how they would look on my car. so if any one could help me out with pics of rims with the tire size it would be very much appreciated. i just wanna get a visual of how the different sizes look.
oh ya its a 94 dx coupe thanks to all

thanks so far
but would you say stay uder 17 strictly because of appearance or are there any performance reasons why as well. Im still leaning towards the 16's as well but i can get a great deal on 17's. and say i went 16 would 205/40/16 be to small of an aspect. Cause I saw 16' with 205/50 and the aspect looked to big for me
thanks again

i think on an ek a 17" looks best - on older gens 17"s look way too big...
performance is obvious they are much heavier than your stock 13"s or 14"s...
but there is more rubber touching the road...
many said for me not to go with 17"s as well due to performace...
i'm running 205/40/17's on mine with z rated falkens...
the ride is very comfortable, not much differeant than stock... although other will tell you it is much more harsh i disagree...
but it all depends on what your aiming for, i'm not 100% into performance so i went for a bigger rim, if your into performance then you would want to go with a smaller rim...
many will agree that on a 5th gen 17"s look way too big...though, and i say the same

You need to know the reason behind getting these 17" package. Good deal is the last excuse you want to use.

You are either after handling/performance, or you just want the looks. Once you know it, then you will know what to get.

just a note... my 15x6.5 40 offset will rub on my fender lining on larger bumps... i would have preferred the look of 16's but at 16x7 40 offset i would have tire rubbing issues

yes i agree with 1c6_eh_t-si on my old coupe i had stock 14's and coilovers with no sleve(i bought them just for the short spring) and it looked the best! so go smaller rim and lower dump!!!

it also depends...do u have a bodykit??

i have an eg coupe...i used to have 16" c8's last year with 205/40/16 tires...never rubbed @ all...this year i got a kit though so i upped my rims to 17's...cuz i thought my kit would look stupid with 16's...and the kit sits really low as well...

like everyone else said...we can't tell you what to get...if u want performance..go smaller cuz the wheels will be lighter...if you want looks then 17's is what u want...even though they will be a lot heavier...

i prefer 15s over the larger sizes. a civic doesn't need anything heavy to weigh her down.

dressing up a civic with bigger rims to make it look better is like an ugly chick wearing designer clothes...it ain't going to do anything for her...ya know what i mean?

that was good
the exterior of the car is going to be basically stock and i just wanted rims to make it look better then my stock 13's. im basically going for a sleeper. so saying that 17's would probably be a bad idea. i think ill go 16 but comments are still apreciated.

thanks again to all

if your stock rims are 13s i personally wouldn't go beyond 15's. you should try 15" konig heliums. they are light (10 to 11 lbs), look pretty good and reasonably priced.

If you have the stock 13's on there now, that means your factory size 175/70/13, so the 205/45/16 is an incorrect size for your car, your speedo will be off a bit. The correct size would be 205/40/16, the reason you see alot of civic drivers with 205/45/16 on they're car is that they had 14's stock or just didn't know any better, it won't make any real difference other than your speedo, also the correct size (to keep your same overall diameter) for 17's then would be 205/35/17, which are rubber bands. As far as rim size goes, totally up to you, but I also agree that 17's look too large on your generation civic.
