need help with JDM bumper assembly
hi all,
I just aquired a EF, it is in great shape from one owner, so mechanically it is fit.
I came across some JDM EF9 pictures and these sparked my interest:

I would like to know, are there differences in the headlights between USDM and JDM? I noticed that the hood is different (ours curve down in the middle). Can i use stock brackets with the JDM bumper? What other stuff do i need? And if anybody know where i can get a hold of this JDM bumper (in toronto) it would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the many questions, thanks for looking.

You should be able to find EF9 the bumper at one of the many importers in the GTA, make sure it comes with the signal lamps though because they are starting to become rare. Now as far as difference between USDM and JDM, heres what they are:
Headlights: USDM are dual lamp glass assemblies, and JDM are longer in over all length and I believe a bit slimmer and they are also a single lamp design with a fluted lens, they are also made of of plastic instead of glass.
Hood: USDM cowls down in the middle and has no grill opening on the front, the JDM hood cowls up in the middle to clear the Dual Cam B16 and also has an air intake mouth at the front where it meets the bumper filler panel. it is also designed to fit properly with the longer JDM SiR headlights.
Bumper: USDM has small mouth opening and slim rectangular turn signals, it also has a metal rebar behind the shell to conform to north american saftey laws, the JDM bumper has no rebar as its not required in Japan and therefore has a larger mouth, it also has longer signal lamps which wrap into the side of the bumper and may or may not have cutouts for factory foglamps.
Fenders: The USDM fenders and JDM fenders are interchangeable, the only difference between the two are sidemarker lights on the JDM fenders.
Filler panel: USDM is shaped to fit with USDM headlights and hood, JDM is designed to fit with JDM headlights and hood.
Front marker lamps: USDM lamps are half amber/half clear and contain 2 bulbs and fit with a gap between the head lights and marker lamp, JDM marker lamps are clear and contain on a single light bulb, also the JDM marker lamps are designed to fit tightly with the headlight assembly giving the illusion of a one piece head light.
T-bar rad supports: USDM contains only hood latch, JDM T-Bar contains air vent to bring in cool air from front of car.
Parts you will need to do the full conversion:
EF9: Hood, Bumper filler panel fenders(can also use USDM fenders), headlights (be sure to get bulbs with these if possible as they are rare!), bumper with proper brackets, turn signal lamps, side marker lamps with harnesses, front marker lamps(USDM lamps can be made to fit as well), T-Bar rad suport(USDM will work as well), and foglamps with brackets.
I have also seen partial front end conversions done where people either change just the hood, headlights, and bumper filler and leave the stock USDM bumper, or change swap out only the USDM bumper for the SiR one and use the stock filler panel, headlights, front markers lenses, hood, etc.
PM me if you need any more info.
