depends on the color... if your going black especially flat black to it at home other wise it too hard to match the paint but still very doable... I think you would be fine using the same paint for both materials...

yea thats what i thought , as long as i paint em black they should be alright. i dont think i want em the same coulor as my car which is red . i kinda wanted them to stand out . so i think maybe a glossy black will do the trick for me .

Thanks for your input

http://www.torontocivics.com/tccv5fo...ead.php?t=3483

for this applicatyion it is similar, i would use plastic primer, clear and the motomaster one is fine which i have used alot. then jus paint using any black, and clear coat it, u can use all motomaster or duplicolr auto paints from cantire since ur not colormatchng.

i would sand the areas around the dent to metal and a lil surrounding, prime or abre metal apply the filler, then using the primer to coat over the filled area and a lil surrounding, and it should help reveal the uneveness of the bodyfiller, (etch primer will reveal the uneveness in your bodywork)
as per below

wetsand
re-prime
level filler again - repeat steps above until perfectly level
re-prime
base coat
clear coat

filler and hardener, which are sold together usually
primer
basecoat
clear coat
cheese grater metal tool- to help sand rough bodyfiller
sandpaper and or palm sander 150 grit to-400 grit, wetsanding sandpaper
tarps, plastic sheeting, electrical tape and maskign tape - dollarstore

after spot painting supplies waiting atleast 1 month or so, painting takes aout 6 months to dry to the core and fulyl cure, using any wax can effect the paint color n curing, do not wax for 6 months, i have in the past wetsanded the clear coat and used buffing agents but washed them off after doing this. also silicone will destroy paint

also you dont have to wetsand and buff it after painting, if ur satisfied just leave it, ur more likely to mess it up when trying to wetsand n buff.

1500-2000 grit - walmart has good prices on sandpaper
3m swirl remover - walmart
buffing pads or clothes
