Installing a Si Roof on a Dx??

I wanted to get my car painted soon, and was wondering how much it would cost on top off painting the entire car... to replace the roof...
I have a civic Dx and have an Si Shell for parts also... I wanted to take the roof off the Si and put it on the Dx... for the Sunroof option of course..
How much and wut work is involved, and how much would this cost if i wanted to get it done professionally??
Please let me kow ASAP cuz i want to paint it soon...

because its not as easy as cutting a hole.

to answer your question...
to remove the roof off the si shell i would say 300 and install it another 300 (thats for the roof only) then putting all the parts on would be another extra depending on if the bodyshop will do it or not.

its alot of work and you cannot swap roofs between coupes hatches and sedans they have to be the same type of vehicle.

also there is another problem doing this swap and that is the change of your front windshield and the rear glass breaking while removing the windows in order to drill out the roof.

all in all not worth it better of just getting an si instead if you want sunroof that bad.
or get an aftermarket one they range from 500-1500 but they will never be the same as oem.

agree with jay... if your car never had a sunroof to begin with, forget about it... or work on your si instead..... its not worth the trouble/money to swap a roof or add sunroof.....
leaking can occur...and with a moonroof, one more thing to eventually breakdown

u don't have to remove the whole roof, just make a big enough hole to fit the sunroof in.

The aftermarket roofs are **** though and they gotta cut your head liner up, I would rather pay the extra money to drill out the spot welds and do a full roof swap, because that way you can take the headliner, wiring, switches, motor and all the other isht with it. And it all fits properly cause its oem. Ive seen aftermarket power and non power sunroofs and even the good ones are crapola.

Leaking would be the least concern. Mine sits fine after 6 years. That's what the tray and drain hose are for, which OEM has as well.

Eventually, I will remove my sunroof.
