installation of altezza tail lights
Hey people. I just got a set of Altezza Tail lights for my 4DR Civic 2002. The technician is charging $80 for installation. I was wondering if it's possible to install them myself, and if anyone can help and explain how to do it. thanks.

I installed a set of lights in about 30 mins on my 91...all you basically do is unscrew all the screws on hte light assembly and screw the new lights back in..it's very simple should not even need intructions..you will probably need to unscrew some of the trunk moulding to get at the lights but that is simple as well...

$80? what a joke, it's very easy, much easier than an oil change, an oil change is only like what? $20 parts and labour included?
that technician is trying to rip you off, don't go to that place to do ANYTHING in the future. That technician likes to RIP YOU OFF!!!!
Look, $80 for installing altezza, god knows howmuch he charges for other stuff.

thanks so much people. I seriously was going to get it done. I just took a look at the car, and I am going to get the tools and attempt it myself. If I need any help, I'll be sure to contact you guys. Thanks again.

Attempt it yourself by just popping your trunk, pulling out the baisc lining and using a socket set to take 'em out. It should be pretty straight forward..
Or just come to a meet and ask a few people and I'm sure MOST will be able to give you a hand in a second!

Believe me, I am not even close to being handy when it comes to cars, but changing the tail lights was simply unscrewing the old and putting the new ones in. Paying $80 for a 15 minute job is a total rip-off....use the money for TCC membership (2 years plus a case of beer).

ok heres what you do,
1) take the nice new box and put it on the ground
2) grab a bat or crowbar ( spmething with a little weight)
3) smash the **** out of the box till you can't lift your arms
4) throw out the box like nothing happend
