i saw a nice set of rims yesterday and the fellow who works there told me they were "hyper black" in color. they weren't that black at all but was only like a shade or two darker than silver.

does anyone here know if hyper-black is supposed to be that light in color or did the sales guy get his color wrong and meant to say hyper-grey or hyper silver?

i asked if they were gunmetal but he said no...they were hyper black. anyhow, its a great looking color for a rim.

hyper black looks like a dark chrome colour. Hyper black is shiny like chrome, but dark at the same time.

Gunmetal is not shiny, and it looks like a very very dark grey colour.

I think hyper black is akin to SBC (special black coating). This seems to be a new style, and I think it's pretty hot, myself.

my wheels are in hyper black color as well and it looks amazing in the sun ... it's a like a dark chrome but looks classy at the same time ... hyper black and polish lip is the best combination

tsw has a good selection of rims that come in hyper black

i've always wanted a 5-spoke rim for my EK and they have one called the Volcano in hyper black that's nice and clean looking. let me know what u guys think
