Question How do you remove the stickers?

Hi.

It took me a day to remove the "DX" logo. I did it with my G2 card. I REALLY had to go at it though....

I want to remove the "Civic" as well. But its VERY hard to do.

Is there an easier way to do this? And without damaging the paint, and having to buy $15+ products that would be used only this one time?

heat gun or hair dryer, and a rag with some goo gone on it.

use dental floss, get it under the glue, and then use goo gone after to get rid of the sticky.

dental floss or fishing line...

heat it up with a hair dryer so it melts the glue underneath..then go at it with the dental floss or fishing line.. it should be easy to take it off....shouldn't take you a day...like not even 5 minutes..

then goo gone the remaining residue with a rag or cloth..then you'll be all good!

steel wool, screwdriver, sander with really high grit, ummm, some acid.

or try this, get a cloth, soak it with gas, get a match, light the cloth, and throw it at the sticker for 5 mins straight, then it will be off no problem.

HAHA !

OK under-age kids must watchout here! Using fire to remove the stickers is very dangerous, and unless you are being supervised by an adult, do not attempt to do this on your own!!

Stickers removed !!

Blow dryer made it soooooo much easier.

But the dental floss was useless. The stickers were so thin, the floss woudn't even grab them.

I used my library card instead! Peeled it right off!!

Thanks for the help guys!

Is there any problem with using alcohol instead of goo-gone for removing the sticky parts after taking the stickers off??

lol, i believe there was some confusion
gatsby's car has sticker emblems does it not?

and dental floss is good for cars with that big plastic emblem that is glued on, such as my 96 civic, the floss works like a charm, but not on stickers!

Yes, WD40 will work slowly to get the sticky stuff off the car. Wipe in a small area.

Basically, anything (any household cleaning product) that has the "bone hand in a bucket" symbol will do. Again, only use it on the area that needs to be cleaned, and rub it quickly, then rinse it with water right away.

Wow guys! I posted this on Oct 15h, 2003. Its almost 1 year old! How did you guys even find this tread? lol.

Anyway I used a hair dryer and heated up the embels, then used a credit card, and it came off like butter. That was 1 year ago, BTW.
