Hid Problems

i tshould come with a basic instructions on how to plug it into ur electrical system.. as most kits are PLUG and PLAY...
the most difficult isn't even the plug and play.. just where to locate the igniter to a proper place where it won't interfere with anything else nor will it move around when ur driving... that took more time then anything else.. with my experience!

The problem i have is that the ballast will only flicker the light twice. Nothing will light up after that. I have a TYC HID kit for a civic and I've wired it today. Does anyone know if it's suppose to flicker like this? Am i suppose to wait longer? Is the ballast fried? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

well when the car is off there isnt enough power to full ignite the balasts or whatever...they do this on my friends envoy when he unlocks the door, they flicker until he actually starts up the car

hmm, that's probably depedant of the brand of the kit. My hid's actually work with the car off or on, it doesn't really matter. Its not any brighter of dimmer in both situations. My bro's car is the same way, it doesn't need to be on.

I'm just stating the fact that some kits may flicker, and some may not. I never said anything about cynikal being wrong.
Because my bro's got an ignited HID kit, and it acts the same way as my philips kit.

Ok New Problem. When i turn on the car 1 bulb turns on and after hours of interchanging the ballasts, wiring, bulb I found that the bulb that doesn't turn on STILL FLICKERS but is black on the inside where as the other (working) is clear. Does this mean that my bulb is fried and i need a new one? or should i just wait for it? It still flickers though. Any input will help. Thanks.
