HID PNP kit

I just bought myself a HID PNP kit from afriend of mine and I can't seem to get it to work. The bulbs just dont light up when I try to hook it up. Can anyone help me as to what I should do now? If you were wondering it's a 6k single xenon day and night kit. (halogen bulb on the side for DRL's) My friend told me that it has something to do with the plug that goes into your car connector, and that the ground/power wires aren't in the right position. Anyone have any ideas what I can do? Id really like to get these working

Its really hard to install it right. Everything plugs in only one way. Make sure the ground is connected and its got a solid connection.
Otherwise I do not see what could be connected wrong. Could have burned bulbs or bad ballast.

I dont even know which wire is the ground wire though? I thoguht it was suppose to be the black wire (since i have 1 black and 2 red wires), but my friend said not necessarily. And how do i make sure its got a solid connetion? just make sure it's plugged in tight?
