help removing drivers door on 98 civic sedan
can someone please help me! I need to remove the driver's door on my 98 Civic sedan and I need to know how to do it! I know from previous cars I have owned (Toyota's) that there are usually hidden screws/clips that I need to remove.
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks,
MG

Take out all the visible screws, (in the pockets, and door handle etc)
then pry the door from the bottom corner, its held on by plastic pieces that are snugged into the door with pressure, just be carefull not to tug to hard to break it.

Thats just how to get off the door panel. If you need to remove the door itself, take out the two bolts the hold the hinges together, then take a hammer and know the pin that holds the flat piece of metal to the car up and out. That should do it.

I only need to remove the panel...what about the door lock pin-thing (the thing that sticks up at the top of the door that you push down to lock)....does the panel just lift over this or does it come off with the panel??

the perfect steps using a phillips screw driver!!!!
1. take off the screw thats behind the handle
2. unlatch the clip that the handle is hooked up too from behind
3. open up speaker covers with flat head
4. take off the 3 screws that are in there
5. pull speaker near you and unclip the harness off
6. using a flat head take off the cover for the power control unit (if u got power windows etc)
7. take off 2 screws that are behind in there
8. unclip the control unit harness
9. using a flat head jam it in the bottom of the panel inbetween the door and panel
10. pry it open until all clips snap off
11. lift panel upwards
12. door lock **** remains on door but panel comes off with breeze

hey there,
trying to get the inner door panels off the EK. have the panel basically popped off, but there's something attaching the latch mechanism (thing to open the door) to a rod behind the door panel. can't seem to get this rod thingy disconnected from the latch. i can't see far enough to see how it's attached. anyone know how to do this? thanks for the help in advance.

hi 'Team Rukus', don't know if you're thanking me, but you're welcome if you are.
and it's a sedan. there's a clip or something holding onto the rod to open the door. to detach it, should i pull it off vertically or horizontally? just don't want to break the clip. thanks for the help.
