most new paints would be good to go, but since we don't know what paint was used I'd give it a month.

No use trying to look clean if it risks screwing up your paint job, a rinse should be fine but leave getting a proper wash for a month.

do not wash for about 3 weeks or so and if you do rinse , rinse with just hose water (cool water).

This if off topic, but how much did you pay for the paint job and where did you get it done?

did u get single stage or two stage (base/clear)? two stage dries hard and fast... in about a week... but acrylic enamel (single stage) can take a little longer. Like everyone else said, 3 to 4 weeks to be safe.... but ive washed painted cars before that with no bad news. Its your call.
