Unhappy Fastco Chromium Black Rims :(

Hi all... I have a pair of FASTCO Rims,

their called GROOVE

with a Chromium Black Colour. I keep calling wheel repair shops and none of them are able to match my colour.

Does anyone know a person/company..ANYBODY who can repair some curb damage on these things? I love my rims..but I feel the company shafted me, selling rims that nobody (as far as I know) can repair. It wasn't something i considered when buying them.

Any help anyone can provide would be great. Remember these are NOT gun-metal black... they are CHROMIUM Black.

Thanks

George

i doubt you will be able to get one done and have it match the other 3, best bet is a black anodized color.

Has like a greyish tint to them, looks real good. The curb rash isn't that bad.

it's hard to see on these pics..but on the first one...it extends to the entire section on the upper half of the wheel. Two spoke lengths... it pains me to see them that way.

Well...wheel wizzard..and wheel fix... and carcone's can't reproduce my colour. I've called half a dozen places..the only guy who know who can repair them is in Montreal.

I've been e-mailing FASTCO all day...but in the end..they ignored my last e-mail.

The colour is called CHROMIUM BLACK...but i have also seen it called HYPER BLACK.

I did check out the other thread before making this one. I'm trying to be a polite poster.

Just wondering if anyone has had similar rims and got them fixed.

George.

yeah it's most likely that you'll have to choose a diff't color and have all the wheels redone in that color. IMO for the cost, I'd just buy new wheels.

i think the problem wit your rims isnt that they cant be reproduced in the same colour. its cuz you cant powder coat them. your calling all the wrong places is what i think.

i am almost 90 percent sure those arent powdercoated i think they are dipped in dark chrome.

Team Rukus,

If that is the case, who do you suggest I call?

First of all the problem isn't with Fastco it is with your driving. Rims are not designed to be hiting curbs and then repaired. It is just a service that people offer. You are correct in the fact they are a "Chromium Black Color" Fastco rims are of good quality and fairly inexpensive. Why don't you go and buy a new rim since htey are under 200 dollars each and keep the scratched one as a spare? That's what i have done in the past. When it costs 100-150 to have one fixed a couple of extra bucks ain't much for a brand new rim. I just checked our stock and they are still availible. Just my 0.02's.
