since this topic comes alot fo times...i wanna say one thing.

when i replaced my stock mirrors last year, i noticed that there is one circular hole in the centre (the area where you install the mirrors) plus there are three holes for the mirror screws to go through. that hole in the centre was for the harness.

so my question...is this the same in coupes and hatches? if no...how different it is?

to be honest, the EL mirrors have a nicer shape then the EK ones, thats why I wanted them , I couldn't really care about the folding part

the centre hole is there regardless since the hatches use coupe doors and the coupes came with power mirror option. that being said it has nothing to do with the centre hole not lining up it has to do with the base itself its too small.
