hey..i got a red ek hatch...right now i got carbon fiber euros on it..but i wanna go back to stock!!

thinking of painting the rear lights all red...including the reseve light

is this a good idea..will the cops bust me??

just give me some suggestions wat to do with my rear lights

Cops will hastle you about the reverse lights not being white.. My freind is a living example haha.

I would suggest you buy some red clear vinyl and cover your tails with that to give it a uniform looking color, the white should still shine through if you have bright white reverse lights. If it doesnt shine through you can use an exacto knife to cut out the reverse section.

Whatever you do, leave the reverse light white.

my buddy drives a 94 intgra and wanted did the same thing he was talking about except did the rverse in like a tinted coulour so its kind of white but it looks like almost smoke coloured, he hasnt got hassled yet and it looks pretty good, Not sure if its any better than red (legal wise) but it looks pretty sick still

yes but they look red when not lit, as long as it emits a white light when lit up your fine.

from experience the vinyl is pretty hard to work with. i made the amber signals on my 98 hatch red with a lens repair kit from CT (comes with one sheet of clear, amber and red). its almost impossible to get all the bubbles out though, i tried everything including a heat gun...plus the colour doesn't match the stock colour of the brake lights. only if u buy a big sheet of vinyl (like maybe 2 feet square) to cover the entire housing and really take ur time and know what ur doing it will look good. by the way don't use a pressure washer on it, i made that stupid mistake, cuz it will rip right off. go with painting i'd say and use graffiti remover if u screw up or don't like it.
