Cost to put in a sunroof??
#2
Powered or non-powered?
non....starts at $150 installed and up......usually around $200.
Power....depends if you want a pop up one, or one that slides into the roof liner like the factory ones on some cars.
Regular pop up and side out onto the roof.....starts at around $500 and goes up from there. If you want a factory style one that slides into the roof liner and also has the pop up vent feature, you'll be looking at around $1000+.
Slvr-Bullet had one put in awhile ago, and it looks mint.

I don't think that's such a good idea.
OEM sunroof cars, as far as I know, are equipped with extra braces in the doors and roof to maintain the safety rating for the car and meet safety standards.
Ie the manufacturer will make the whole car with the sunroof and crash it into a wall to prove to the proper authorities that the roof won’t cave in a snap the necks of all the passengers in a 30 km head on… etc…etc..
While adding a sunroof into the car may not weaken it to that point, but you are for sure weakening the chassis.
I would recommend against it, if you really want it that bad, consider swapping cars.

90EFHB paid $1000 + for a powered one from ASC many moons ago.
His install was top notch and it still works with no problems.
Some car companies hire ASC for sunroof installs on cars that never had any from the factory.
Then to be resold as OEM sunroofs on new cars.
