cluster light bulbs.

Anybody know where i can find some cluster light bulbs. I pulled them out but i can't find them anywhere, CT, PAC MALL....well those are the places i tried. I know some of you guys will say they are 194/168 but they aren't. The bulbs from my cluster are alot smaller. But i want to change my cluster lights to blue perhaps or even hyper white. If i can't find these bulbs i'm wondering if i can pull off the connectors to the bulbs from a teg or another civic that has the 194 bulbs. But than i don't know if it would fry or anything, since the wattage might be different. TIA

By the way i drive a 4th gen. 90 civic.

no no
if you remove the cluster, the lights have a piece that holds the actual bulb, i took it off already
but i don't have a digital camera or anything. it just holds the bulb and you put it into the hole and you twist, i brang it to the meet last night, but i forgot to ask. was going to ask pulovr or something.

-> as for nail polish? Does it really work, it won't melt or anything right? if anything i might ahve to resort to it.

I personally like the pink colour myself.......

You will brobably be disapointed with the outcome off painting them. They won't be as bright, or the colour that you expected.

If you really want to paint them, go to a hobby shop and get the Tamiya candy clear paint. Tie a string to the end of the bulb and dip it in the bottle.....don't get the contacts covered with the paint.

Dip them once or twice...install them after they have dried......if they still don't have the colour you like, take them out again and repeat.......remember how many coating you did.

I don't know how long the coating will last, but for only $6.00 for a bottle, it doesn't hurt to try.

You can also get the coloured "condoms" that slip over the bulbs....the only company that I can remember that had these, was Blaupunk.

Who knows.....when your done it might look like this...

If you do decide to paint them, do it so it looks like this...

LMAO...actually, yes, I have seen them at Pac Mall. Don't know if they still sell them though. I would assume CT might have them.

while we are on the topic of clusters (specifically 4th gen). are there any products out there for them. like carbon fibre bezels for expample. I want to do my interior C/F but they seem to make products only for the CRX dash and not mine..

BTW Nautica_t, you gotta show me how to take the cluster apart so I can change my bulbs b/c some of them are dead..

Yes, I know they're cheesy. So you're saying that those interior inserts are real C/F? Hmmm? I highly doubt that.

Has anyone seen those coloured cluster bulbs at PMall. I wanted to get some a while back but nothing seemed to happen. Pulovr, does that hobby paint stuff melt off due to the heat?
