What's the point? Do you track your car? And to be honest if you think that by converting your whole car to cf you will gain 200whp from the sohc, don't bother. Just do engine mods for same price.
Cf is mostly style over practicality.

driving with cf doors is also a little dangerous, depending on where youre driving.. but if you ever get hit on the side you'll take much more damage than a metal door

i have a motor swap. no one should run with a single cam. and yes i do track days. im looking at saving a few pounds cause the cars i run with are fast. just want to see if theyre out there. cf are good as long as u have hood pins.

^^ what is your dohc pushing? Doubt anywhere close to 200whp. Stock sohc with forced induction can produce 220whp safe. Ok you gonna say a dohc under boost will make more, yes no argument in that but motor prices differ a lot. For the price of b16 you can build a sohc. And in the end I believe its much more rewarding to have a 300whp sohc than a 300whp dohc. But that's just me.

245/45/16 front 225/50/16 rear hoosiers fitted on an gutted eg with a turbo lsd sohc that makes torque. It feels good to know that im turning at almost max potential at time attacks and i can always up the boost for the long straights. How much more power do you really need for roadrace in a civic.

When you consider the cost of carbon fiber products, is it even worth it? Unless money is no issue then by all means go ahead, but 1 door most go for at least $500 I would believe. I would just gut the door.

cf stuff looks good also. i did gut the doors. i was just wondering. never been a fan of sohc engines. thats just me. u can tune anything, the only good thing about sohc motors is that theyre cheap.

I'm not surprised that someone who'd rag on soch's on this site doesn't know jack about CF either. it's kinda like if I came on here and said where can I find rims for my car and also h22's are oil burning wastes of aluminum.

^^ agreed.
But I still can't wrap my mind around spending thousands of dollars for cf while all that could be invested in motor that would compensate for the weight.
I've seen hoods/fenders/trunks and even roofs [which are pain to get installed]. If you do everything in cf, a proper cf hood will cost atleast 500$. Trunk just about the same. That's 1000$ down, for that you could get pistons/rods or a bigger turbo. Now you still have fenders/doors left. 1500$ish just a wild guess, there you have the pistons/rods put in. But again I'm probably wrong, since I would dump money in a sohc and walk on you all day long...
