buddy club front bumper* puttin it on...
hey guys i got a 96-00 buddy club replica front bumper....today i was trying to put it on but when i took out the stock bumper ....on my 96 civic hatch there was a big metal going across in the middle which blocks my buddy club bumper from fitting....
my question is...
1. are you suppose to take out the metal piece i guess which acts as a reinforcer for the bumper in a collision....to put on the custom bumper?
2. or have i been bull****ed and that the replica bumper was actually for a 99-00 civic?
my question is...

2. might have been bull****ed and actually bought the one for the 99-00 civics? I know they are different but not sure if that would be because of the rebar.... do you have any pics?

the part under the grill is to small to fit the metal bar compare to the stock

sell the knockoff junk and get a real wings west tuner type1, they fit perfectly without removing the rebar, and its polyeurethane.
Those knockoffs are junk, they never fit right, even if you take off the rebar (which is unsafe and insurance will laugh in your face if you ever hit anything) they still fit crappy with the headlights leaving huge uneaven gaps....plus i bet its fiberglass, you will smash it to pieces the first summer going into driveways and ****..
thats just my 4 years experience speaking with my bumper.

BC front bumper is meant for JDM Civics, with smaller front rebar. So on USDM, you need to eliminate the front rebar, I know because I had it on before.
Either that, or cut your rebar horizontally (to reduce thickness) which is what the installer told me to do 4 years ago, but I didn't do that.
