Just swith the constant 12v wire, and the flash 12v wire around. Leave the third grond wire alone.

Use a multimeter to find out which is which, and the cut and switch them.

Disclaimer:

But remeber, it will look like you are driving around with your brakes on if you do this to the rear lights. (looks like **** imo.)

As for the front lights; it will make it almost impossible for the other drivers on the road (including the police), to see your turn signals, which is a big no-no.....ie.....ticket.

Lamps required on all motor vehicles except motorcycles:

Light requirement

62. (4) Any lamp required under subsection (1), (2) or (3) shall, when lighted, be clearly visible at a distance of at least 150 metres from the front or rear, as the case may be. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 62 (4).

Strength of lamps:

62. (6) Lamps on the front of a motor vehicle shall be so constructed, located, arranged and adjusted that when lighted as required by subsections (1), (2) and (3) they produce under normal atmospheric conditions and on a level road a driving light sufficient to render clearly discernible to the operator of the motor vehicle any person or vehicle on the highway within a distance of 110 metres ahead of the motor vehicle. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 62 (6).

Attachment that affects lamps prohibited:

62. (7) No person shall drive upon a highway a motor vehicle if either or both of the lamps that are required on the front of the vehicle by subsections (1), (2) and (3),

(a) are coated or covered with a coloured material; or

(b) have been modified by the attachment to the lamps or the motor vehicle of any device that reduces the effective area of the lenses or the intensity of the beam of the lamps. 2002, c. 18, Sched. P, s. 19 (1).

Those are the 3 possible things you can get charged with. There might be other's, but I think these would be the most obvious ones.

Here's the link to the HTA if you want to read some more..

how can u get in trouble if the light goes "on" then "off" opposed to "on" then "off"? i did a similar mod with the parking lights on 2 of my crx's and never had a problem with police or the general public...but alas, do all mods at your own risk and none of us here shall be held responisible for any tickets you should recieve

i tried that... there is one major problem.... on 5th gens anyways

normally the system has one wire which is gorund... easy enough

then there is another wire that is the driving lights... which is on whenever hte headlights are on which is normally dim... wire A

the other is your turn signals which is bright.... wire B

now if you switch wires a and b you'll find that for one when the headlights are off the turn signals are dim... but if you turn on the headlights... so that the bright light will be on all the time... so when you put on your turn signals they will be dim and not noticable... there fore not a good thing... i thought it looked cool when i did it during the day but it sucks at night....

I know for sure you can't just switch the 2 wires around. you need a taillight converter or else if I just switch the wires around. I would get hyper blink when I signal or the brake lights funny like you said..

there used to be a how to on jdmfans.com but is gone.

you guys don't get what I want to do. I just want the parking light to be brigher like when it signal. it becomes brighter. I want that brightness to stay on all the time and when I signal. it will go dim bright dim bright. just like how it is before but is when I have them on normal. is bright instead of dim with out mod.

I think PUL OVR does understand what you're saying at least it does from what I've read. But I would still point out it may be ticket issues because your signals are now always bright and thats really annoying. My signal bulbs even I think are too bright they are just stock and I find them annoying...lol imagine what other ppl are gonna think

IT WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENT WHEN THE BULBS ARE FLASHING. JUST WHEN THE BULBS ARE NOT FLASHING AND ON AT NIGHT ALONG WITH THE HEADLIGHT THAT IS BRIGHTER....
THAT IS ALL.. WHEN IT FLASH.. IS SAME AS BEFORE.

OK, I understand what you are saying... the thing you need is a $40 tail light converter used for towing trailers.... you know how trailers have one tail light, so all the functionality of car tail lights gotta be packed into this one trailer lamp... so buy the trailer hookup kit, and simply follow the directions. It's not hard.
