amber spedo/climate control lights

amber spedo/climate control lights

How would i get the amber/orange look for my spedometer and climate controls. What bulb would i use and does anyone have any advice as to how about putting in teh bulbs?

found the write up, it was very helpful, but it was for a 95 i belive. Hopefully my 99 is similar

well before you do that
bbarbulo told me the right way to do it
do not spray the lights they will fad after time, he said goto honda and ask for CRV light condoms....
for more info i suggest u talkin to the wise bbarbulo

yep, the condom trick is the better way to do it...cuz a couple months down the road the paint will fade and ur gonna have to start over

if you read further, i believe they discuss 99-00 amber conversion thingy(too bad ts like 10 pages:S)

so if i go to honda and ask for "CRV light condoms" they will know what i am talking about?

Are teh crv condoms orange in colour?

if u read more on the write up on handa tech they explain how to do it for the 96-00 civics.

ive also heard that the condoms fall off thie lights. im painting mine

those condoms dont fall of the lights man...if u have ever tried to get them off the lights u would know...the heat from the bulb kinda glues em on, infact just the friction between the soft rubber and the glass holds em on more than tight enough...to get em off u basically gotta unroll them off...so they just dont slip off

don't paint the lights lol i took apart the gauges and i sanded the tint of the back of the gauges and spray painted them with staind glass paint looks much better and last forever
