18" wheel on a civic hatch back???

i found a killer deal on some volks le37t for my 92 hatchback but the problem is the rims are 18". My question to you is will the car look bad with them on being that the wheel are 18". Keep in mind, I can get the set of rims for under 1g with tires so i can't complain. Any advice would be great. I try doing a search on the topic but didn't get much. thanx in advance.

IMO even 17" look too big for EG's.. with 18's you'll probably get rubbing issues..

There's only one way to find out. Buy em and try them on. If they don't fit, sell them. I'm pretty sure you can sell Volk LE37's for more than a $1000 with rubber.

I've got 17s on my coupe, and I wouldn't ever think of going any bigger.

just be sure they are real volks, not Rota's with volk stickers on them. $1000 for 18" Volks does not sound right at all, especially with tires.

18" will also look dumb and with 215/35/18 tires they'll likely rub forsure, any larger tire forgetaboutit.

18s are wayyy to big for eg hatch back, it will look like a monster truck and will prob cause rubbing issues

why do peple say they don't fit... i've seen them on a civic before so they do fit.... low pros and 18" should be ok... but will look like ****.... if you were to get 16" go 45 on the tires...17" go 40 and 18" go 35... thats how it usualy goes.... my friend has 15" with 55 tires and thats like 18" with 40 tires... seemed ok.... correct me if im wrong..

here are the diameters:

195-55-15 = 23.4 inches

215-40-18 = 24.8 inches

the 18" rim is a lot bigger...also to whoever posted that picture, notice that car isn't even lowered. I say dont buy them because a)they will look stupid b) they will rub c) the ride will be terrible with a 40 series tire d) they are heavy and finally e) tires for 18" rims are not cheap..if you like to pinch the pennys like me

even if you plan on buying and selling them..there's not many small cars with 4x100 bolt patterns they will even fit on
