you can get it at NAPA
I've heard good things about it ..................... one time I used it .... on a 1.7 GSR motor .... the motor would NOT start after................ like 10 or 15 minutes after..... I am VERY hesitant.....

I have a question.
I just did seafoam yesterday and now sometimes when I idle, my rpm goes up and down.
But it does idle quietier though.
Did this happen to anyone else?

i guess seafoam did its job. it cleaned the crap outta the engine. and sometimes cleaning junk reveals problems that were never there because that gunk covered it up.

You could possibly have a vacuum leak or you need to clean your icav something along those areas

I did sefoam and then pulled off my TB to clean it and there really wasn't to much carbon. I would have liked to look before and after but it was to much work. But i think it does a good job. Ohh and my civic had 130,000

The main purpose is to clean the inside of your engine from the carbon buildup and whatnot.

Since this is back up....

is there any danger to using seafoam for the first time on a high milage car?
My car has 212k on it. Im worried i might be removing too much carbon. Appearantly removing too much on an old engine could make the engine lose compression?

I remember at the 403/Dundas Wednesday night meets, we would Seafoam our cars in the parking lot.

5-6 cars getting Seafoamed at once = TONS of smoke....ahhahaha.

For older cars, Seafoaming becomes a little riskier, because it might do more harm then good.

Some of the excess carbon deposits are sealing the worn down piston rings, so if you seafoam and wash away those deposits, it will drop the compression in your motor and actually lower the performance.

Glad you explained that, Daniel. I'd heard that it shouldn't be done with older vehicles, didn't know why. Muchas gracias!
