You run the car till it's warm, and idle is at around 700-800.

Turn off car and take off vacuum hose.

install funnel or whatever else you need to pour in the seafoam while the car is off, then you turn the car back on and pour in seafoam slowly or the motor will stall.

After you've poured like 1/2 bottle, turn off car and let sit for about 5-10 minutes, then after that, you take the car out for a good drive preferably using higher RPM's to clean all the crap out. You will be smoking a lot of exhaust, so better to do it at night or on empty roads.

Full tank is good if you use 1/3 bottle of seafoam.

Hey guys,

I drive a 93 Civic DX HB with 292,000KM on it, should I not try this on my car?

I read from another forum that cars with high mileage like mine may leak after trying the seafoam cuz the build up is sealing the engine from leaking. Is this true? Or should I just avoid adding the seafoam in the oil? Same reason why synthetic oil should not be added to a high mileage vehicle. So just the manifold and gas tank.

anyone tried this on a high mileage vehicle before?

The results sound very good and I would like to try on my ride, but I definitely dont want problems afterwards.

thanx

I Seamfoamed it this weekend and I really didn't feel any difference. My civic has 300000+ km's and only some smoke came out. I put it through the vacum hose, oil, and gas as suggested. I would not reccomend it as I think it's just a waste of money.

its not like your going to see power gains that throw you back in your seat. it just cleans your motor out and makes it run better. plus your car has 300,xxx +.

Believe me I wasn't expecting any major gains or anything like that, all I wanted was a quieter idle and a little better throttle response would have been nice, but I got absolutely NOTHING and for $15 a can, I don't believe it was worth it.

Your car has 300000Km on it. Maybe your engine is just prestine, or you take really good care of it. I saw results and obviously this product isn't for everyone, but for $15, it's worth a try if you are having problems with it. My car idle like S*** before, but now its much smoother and highway driving doesn't shake the S*** out of everything anymore. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but I got mine for $10 a can and it was worth every penny.

I drive a 1990 Honda Civic 4DR.. that spits out a little oil when I rev the motor hard.. Is this safe to perform on my car? I'm POSITIVE this car could use it..

Where do you guys find this stuff? I really need it for my SOHC ZC, which the inside of the IM is pitch black. And since I'm not taking the IM off for a while, and I wanna clean up that nasty tick that is my valve seats. The valve adjustment was just done and it's dead on.

You're supposed to plug in a battery-saver while you do this in order to avoid the CEL to go on.

Doesn't matter even if it does. It went on for me, all I did was unpluged the battery and waited 10 seconds. Plugged it back in and everything was good to go. No more CEL.

btw, I still have the stock D16Y8 motor that came with the car. Best motor I can get for my car
