your car --- RAW vs. REFINED?? Opinions??
Yesterday my lil bro took home his brand new - used lexus IS300...
took it around for half an hour and was just impressed...
First off, its probably the quietest car I've driven. Even when you launch it, you don't think it's revving. I actually had to look at the RPMs to see if it was getting close to the red line.
Its fast as hell, whisper quiet and amazingly refined ride... hard to unseat the car with the stability, traction controls... yadi yadi.... it drives for you... my grandma could probably drive like Schumacher with this car...
And that's why it felt so... well... weird.
I'm just used to cars that have a more raw type of feeling... where you can hear the engine... you can feel the road... where you pay for your driving mistakes... it won't step in to correct you...
Its a really really nice car, but I doubt that I would ever get one like it... just because it feels so unnatural. I think you can turn all the safety systems off, but I doubt it will feel less refined.
In my opinion, I loved the IS, it was just too refined... I prefer my cheap, destructible and raw civic...
So here's the question... I'm just curious would you rather have a car that is more RAW or more REFINED?

Looks like Corn to me...
I'm with ERTW on this one. I'd like my car smooth, refined and composed most of the time. However when I want it to be, it should be as raw as can be, ready to rip your head off.
