Thumbs up XMAS thread.

I put up my tree tonight. Fake of course, but with the cool fibre-optic lights built right in.

I feel so feminine. I love you guys. Damn! The Crown Royal is starting to talk.

How much is everyone spending on their significant other? I'm spending about $1000.

What are you buying?

What are you getting?

It looks so festive.

not to mention the weather is on its way as well - woke up this morning to sheet of ice covering the car...

I got the tree from Sears for $149 on sale. Better hurry though, they only had a few left. $1000 may seem like alot, but she is the only person I really have to buy for. Besides, she spent alot more then that on me already and half of those gifts are still mine.

lol... last year we put up our tree like the day of

why? cuz I'm lazy, my brother is lazy, and my parents can't be bothered... maybe we'll do it earlier this year... we've been using the same tree for like 15 years now I still remember when it was taller than me

as for the significant other... hehe it's a secret.... I made it a goal not to do gift exchange with friends this year.. so that should "save" some money...

Good choice, decided to go the OTA route? Might I reccommend a channel master 4228 outdoor antenna, I set mine up 2 weeks ago, picked up all the US stations but WB.

I paid for a plane ticket from Tokyo to Toronto. That cost me over $1,000 (closer to $1,200). I think that's it for my present...

Greg, what is WB?

This year, a nice fine dinning for the two of us. That's about it.

When you are saving money for a wedding, you tend to not spend money on other things.

Our tree will be going up soon, with a 6 year old running around he wants it up as soon as Halloween is over.
As for gifts, I don't know yet but the wife and I always look after each other nicely, but the bulk of the money is spent on the boy.

Plus we just got back from the Dominican again and we are going back to Disney in Feb.

It's the Warner Bro's Network, US only station, someplace in the state of NewYork, really low output tower, can't pick it up in Mississauga.

Maybe if I got a preamp, but meh, I'm content with the channels I get right now.

I am officially skipping Christmas this year. I have to work Christmas eve 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am, Christmas Day 7am-3pm, and New Years eve 3pm-11pm. I have no significant other to buy for and no family that is around so... just me. I'm boycotting Christmas...but on the same note... if you wanna buy me a present thats fine.
