Xbox Repair?

Xbox Repair?
The DVD lens always seems to be making a weird buzzing sound and initially, all I thought it needed was a cleaning.
Well, @ this point, on games that don't require MUCH loading (ie. Halo), the game works "somewhat" fine, in that it'll seldom freeze. However, on games that load constantly, you'll hear the lens buzzing and eventually, causes the system to freeze.
Its' been concluded that my Xbox needs a new DVD-rom drive, as I bought it when the system first came out (Feb.2002) and from what I've been told, the earlier models had these sorts of problems.
Anyhoo; I was wondering if anyone knew of a specific place (contact info. and mailing address would be greatly appreciated) where I can get this thing fixed/replaced for a decent price.
Many thanks.

I don't want my Xbox modded; I just want it to play DVD movies, Xbox games, etc...
If I get a mod chip, doesn't that mean I can't play discs?

yeah greg, how much would it cost to get one fixed? my xbox has taken a ****, but i'm not going to buy a new one seeing as 360 is coming out at christmas time...
would it be cheap to fix it up so it works properly? that way i can keep the original one for my room or car or something and have the new one downstairs with the big tv...

I said my modchip guy cause he usually has extra broken xboxes laying around that I might be able to get a good drive out of. I'm probably going tonight so I'll find out if he has anything. I found a guy in the states that'll sell brand new thomson drives for around 30US. I doubt you guys care which brand you get as long as it works right?
