Hi Kerry, I am glad you had a great Friday.
I suppose you missed the idea of the post. The thought was more towards the EQ aspect of the crowd in general, to accept people and those who live around you based on who they are, not what they do or what they own.
I am not making such post to rebel because people laugh at my vehicle. You may laugh at my vehicle or spit on it when you know the spec or seen the photos. Even if you do, I wouldn't get mad. That goes back to my analogy of "laughing at someone because he or she owns a less valuable material than I do" and if, there is such a need, to laugh at someone because that is the case.
You imported a vehicle from Japan, I suppose you did so because you found that JDM tuning style is your most favourite. Is that a form of being a "follower"? But I am not going to point finger and despite that because it is what you like and who you are, being a follower or not, liking something for what it is or not, that is perfectly fine.
This website is owned and operated by its owners; maintained by a few; respected by some; and supported by a portion. This site is no better than others, and no one is trying to preach that. But what we wish to preach (at least the owners), is that this is a friendly site and please, please, respect the rules when you use its facilities to better yourself whether you sell, or make friends, or to gain information online. Is that so hard to ask? I think Kerry, you would think the same if it was your hard work, time and money, right?
You don't agree with me; you disagree with me; you laugh at my post(s), that's fine. At least you spent a minute out of your life to read it, and a minute to respond to it, I thank you for that.
Again, thank you for pointing out the sources of the photos. It was a quick google search and I can honestly say I did not do the research to properly understand the orgins of these houses. It was a quick reference. Whether you recognized the houses by its photos at an instant (which I would be really impressed) or trace back the internet link and found out what they were, either way, you took the time. Again, thank you for that.
It is Sunday, I hope you have a great Sunday afternoon. Honda Tech has a meet and I wish to be there, but have to spend time with my new family. If you are going, I hope you get to see some cars you like and have a peaceful day.

With that said, I still have the right to choose not to associate with the ones who make me unhappy. We all have those same choices!

I imported the car from Japan for several reasons. One is to NOT be a follower and instead own a legitimate JDM car. Secondly the cost for what I got was great and the car was practically rust free and was accident free. Came stock with a b16, power everything, A/C and bucket rear seats; all of which are upgrades to what I was driving before. For now yes it is my favourite style of tuning but that's not to say it's my only style. When I reach over the age of 25 shortly I will more than likely be back-burning the honda scene and consider a move onto cars with greater performance, if I can afford it that is. Fact is hondas are cheap to maintain, cheap to make it reach its limits and cheap on insurance. I'll soon be working on a pseudo-classic car as well I hope (gotta go through Japan again)
No it is not hard to ask for people to follow rules and yes I agree that in some instances posts need to be shut down. I think we all agree though that some people were being banned for "minor" fibs.
I did actually link back the pics to their origin. I'd have impressed myself if I knew them off of the top of my head.
Yep, I was out at the Honda Tech meet and got home not long ago. Lots of nice cars out there and yes there was some "rice". One young guy even said my JDM hatch needs some de-ricing....??? OK buddy. I even saw a one guy chuckle at something in my car and then his friend followed and another..you get the point. The vast majority of people took in the eye candy that is my car so should I bother with the few that saw it differently? Obviously I don't give a s*** because for all I know they're on one of these sites running around with a jdm-xxx name and had to swap in a jdm motor, swap in jdm headlights, swap in jdm corner lights, put in a jdm side marker..etc. So in the end there are just too many youngsters who follow. I was one of them so I can't say I don't know what that's like.
Either way love what you drive and appreciate what others drive unless it is seriously a p.o.s.
The problem is young guys follow the crowd regardless. They want to be "in" with the crew and try to get in by flapping their gums at other groups.

^ I like the fact how you hear the comments about your vehicle and it bothers you but you still think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I wish everyone that is into cars had the same view as you, and all these "e-spats" on forums and such wouldn't happen. Its your car and if they dont like it, move on!
Anyways those of you who have read my posts, I am not trying to tell you (TCC) how to run the forum. I am just sharing my observations and in reality I don't wish failure upon anyone or anything. I do seriously think if you address some of the issues that are in your control, you could turn this site into something huge.
I hope no one took offence to any of my posts.

And yes, it does sometimes bother me and I have no problem saying that. People don't want to say it bothers them and they say all kinds of s***. I just stay true to myself and not be afraid of what people will think if I say it bothers me. At the end of the day I really couldn't care less but in the moment I do wonder who the fluk they are and what they're contributed to society. Mind you, there will even be some who would read this and think, well if they think it's sh** then it probably is. Not sure how those people function as yet.
I fully understand how people get caught up in these things but it never surprises me how far some will take things without having any personal relation to the issue and never come to the realization that they're just followign a crowd. Even when people get into serious trouble with the law they will still keep the fire burning with the other party involved. I remember back in high school I was in a crew named the "KINGCREW" -brap brap!..and so many beefs and e-thuggin was goin' on and I had no idea sometimes what the beef was about but I'd run my mouth anywaz....ahh the day when you're young. I was pretty quick with on the spot dissin' back then. I've mellowed as time rolls on.
I don't take offence from posts anymore but if there are people who do, they will not come out and say, "hey man I take offence to what you said", and explain why it is that they are taking offence. Instead they will flap their gums and boost their ego.

I'm not talking or comparing TCC to JDMR am I? didn't think so. Therefore I have no need to post anything there.
I thought you didn't care about JDMR? Mmm wondering who has an a/c there because your jealous actions say you do!

Glad you see it that way, but if that doesn't matter, why are we having this conversation. As a matter of fact, why are these conversations always here and nowhere else? I already know the answer but I am sure you will have a response anyways.

Man I can see myself getting into trouble in this thread but I just can't help but call some of you on what you say, even if you're a moderator.
Keeping on track with the O.P.- I think there's a theme going on right now in support of "jdm" style cars and this site isn't flaunted as an all "jdm" group so traffic has slowed down some.
