i say go with FS or BB, i threw in the few extra bucks for the PSP or whatever it's called @ FS, and got all my **** fixed for free when something went wrong...

or, go with a dell and get the service plan too, even better, slightly more expensive but you can break that shyat, spill stuff on it, and they'll still replace it apparently...

Wait for all the back to school specials coming out very soon. I think most of them start in the middle of August. Maybe sooner.

Dell has a good service plan, but they have to because thier stuff is garbage...

Not the real reason, but it illustrates my point...

I'd check out the deals at FS and BB, specially if you want a service plan...

the only downside with the extended service plan or the warranty is that they keep your product for a max. of 60 days before it is repaired and given back to ya

imagine that long with your laptop...

in comparison..compusmart has a plan that replaces the product right away instead of keep it for long provided the repair exceeds a certain amount.

anyway u look at it...lappies are cheap these days.

that 60 days max is only if you're a ***** pushover customer... trust me if you can handle yourself it's not 60 days...

plus don't they give you a loaner if you need one?

well..it says 60 days on the warranty document. it was earlier 30 days but then people started buying a replacement only to return it on the 28-29th day before getting their own back....

or you can do this twice..haha...but laptops only have a 14 day return or refund policy....dont know about loaners...dont think thats the case with FS or BB but im guessing.

i've tried Dell, HP, ACER and IBM

and my IBM one was the best ever. I abused the **** out of it and it took it all. It had less speed and ram than the others but was much faster.
