Where do you guys find your MUSIC? !!
Hi.
I was just wondering if anybody knows of any good sites that you can find some good music from.
I go on Z103.5 website to find the names and then I download them off Kazaa, but most of the time its just crappy music.
So any place that I could find some good hip-hop, hits, etc.. titles would be greatly appreciated.
Props.

welll I still use MIRC download an album burn to cd then remove from computer ... not too worried since I tend to have enough stuff happening on my computer that traces of the files won't stay around too much ...
in order to get me they'd have to search my house .... in order to do that they'd need a warrant...
disclaimer: I tend not to tell the turth on this board and have a tedicacy to lie about many things in my life. Also this disclaimer is exempt from that fact. This disclaimer is the only factual written work I have ever done.

Ok guys. I will try these stuff.
And come on, don't tell me some of you just go to stores and buy CDs that has 2 or 3 good songs out of 18, and rest is CRAP!!
I did that for sometime, and infact became a member of one of those CD CLUBs too. Guess what? I have a bunch of CDs that are garbage!
The rule of CDs is that you find 3 out of 18 songs interesting, and the rest of them is useless!! (Talking from experience) So why pay $20 for a whole bunch of CRAP! ??
And no one is going to come to your house and arrest you for those songs either! As long as you don't try to make money out of burnt CDs, and you have your music for personal use, noone has anything against you! They can't FORCE people to go and buy garbage CDs, can they? Of course not!
Anyway, thanks for your help ;-)
Latez.

you've touched on a good point ...
now here's an idea for the music execs out there that are wondering why sales are falling ... thats exactly it. here's how to fix that issue easily....
the new cd music store experience.
I walk into a music store I have a look around and put on head phones and listen to songs from 100s of cds I can quickly browse through. I mark some of these songs for "pick up" then as I leave I go to the desk to finalize my purchase... a CD of the songs I selected in burned ... the price is the royalties for the music plus a comission per song for the label plus some profit for the store. I walk out with my custom CD of 18 songs that I like and are by various artists... the royalties are paid to the artist and the label and store get their cut of the deal.
I would so be shopping more if that was the actual expiernce in a store these days ... we have the technology to do this.... just has to be setup....

Now thats an idea!!
I was thinking of geting the titles and go download them for my Mp3 player though... lol!!
Just can't go the straight way, I think!
But seriously, I would GLADLY, pay a store for this kind of service. At least you are SATISFIED!

Uh, HMV and Tower Records (I believe were the 2 big stores) have already tried those idea's. You are about 2 years behind.
I have 2 CD's that I bought that have 18 songs on each, that were all picked by me. Cost (If I remember.......there was a different price for classical...dance.....ect....) was around 75 cents to a buck a song. One of the cd's cost me $14, and the other (I think) cost me $17 (both of those were US dollars.....the stores where in the states) They were going to try the idea up here, but people thought that the $1.50 +- (canadian) cost per song was ridiculous. At the time, most CD cost around $16 - $18+ tx..........if I went the custom cd route, the thing would of cost me around $24 (for 16 tracks at $1.50 each)....oh, and don't forget the tax. Would you pay almost $30 for a cd that had 16 songs that you liked on it?
At the time, it was a very good idea......now, it's not.
If the songs were around 50 cents a pop, then I could justifly the cost. (good quality recordings.....case.....label...ect...) For a 20 song CD, it would only cost around $10 + tx. Now that (imo) is a good deal.
But the record companies are gready, and until they realize that, I'll buy my 50 pack of CDR's for $20 and save my cash for things I really need.
