fix your pics

Whiplash 22-Sep-2003 05:14 PM

i've always had a soft spot for the CBR myself...
tho a larger displacement seems in order
me thinx you'd get bored with the 600 quickly

Cantonagod 22-Sep-2003 05:15 PM

They are fixed.

1SicCiv 22-Sep-2003 05:16 PM

DUCATI 990!!!!

Cantonagod 22-Sep-2003 05:18 PM

I probably will get bored with it, but for learning purposes I want to start with something that is not overly powerful but still pretty good.

As for the Ducati, nice bike, not on the list.
Keep your opinion and vote to what is on the list they are the only ones in the running.

bbarbulo 22-Sep-2003 05:23 PM

GSXR great overall bike, nicely balanced, prefect for learning.

R6, nice bike... good value for the money.

Honda, take this one if you are getting the F4i fuel injected.

Ninja doesn't do it for me...

Out of all of them, prolly GSXR and CBR are the only ones I'd really consider, out of which the price tag would decide. Whatever I got a good deal on :D

Whiplash 22-Sep-2003 05:28 PM

a better look at the CBR.. :yummy:

punkindrublic 22-Sep-2003 05:34 PM

get the grand daddy... 173 hp... suzuki hayabusa
http://www.mig.fr/francais/susuki/pa...i/hayabusa.jpg

but since that isn't a good learning bike, i'd go with the cbr or gsxr... i wanna pick one of those up next spring

imported_My Blue Si 22-Sep-2003 05:34 PM

I voted the Honda, really nice bike but if I had a second choice I would go for the yamaha. They're both very nice bikes

DumbasSi 22-Sep-2003 05:42 PM

Maybe this might help.

A friend of mine has had a GSX R6, a CBR 6, and the Yamaha R6 which was his favourite. Before the weather gets too shitty, go for a few test rides.

imported_~ILLEST CIV~ 22-Sep-2003 05:48 PM

CBR BY FAR!.....the look just looks better then all the bikes....and my friend has a CBR1100 and though those are different then the 600......it can still reflect the 600......quality bikes.......honda just makes all around quality things....lol i think this is proven in the great gas savers civics are........lol and how long hondas last for.....forever......yah....

Thanks. That is a great site.

All you MoFo's have an opinion when nobody wants it, so where is it when someone asks.

punkindrublic 22-Sep-2003 09:18 PM

my opinion was the honda or suzuki...

Gallagher 22-Sep-2003 09:21 PM

GSX R mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:yummy:mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

1Sic4Dr 22-Sep-2003 10:03 PM

the R6 is a great bike
l like it

h_accordexr 22-Sep-2003 10:05 PM

well i woudl say ducati but it wasnt in the choices

The G2 Racer 22-Sep-2003 10:41 PM

A good learning bike is the EX500 believe it or not. It's small but will teach you the basics. With all tohse bikes you'll be fighting to keep the front wheel planted.

When your learning you want to be able to constrat and not be going fast.

Just what my bike buddies thought me and after this weekend, I'm getting a bike for next season.

DumbasSi 23-Sep-2003 04:11 AM

Cantonagod, they are all wicked rides. It's truly up to you, thats why I suggeted the test rides. I read the article, and the Yamaha was the winner. The CBR and ZX6 are both brand new designs. The Suzuki is a great bike, but a little older. The Yamaha the smallest and lightest, which might benefit a new or inexperienced rider.

SpikeyLee 23-Sep-2003 10:27 AM

Stick with the Honda family!!!!!!! :)

OverKill 23-Sep-2003 11:36 AM

I know you wanted me to keep my opinion but... well... I'm sharing it anyways....

Get the Ducati 999S baby!!! Only comes in red or yellow which sucketh since in my opinion vehicles look sexy black.

However, if you can't go with the Ducati (and I don't blame you, parts are expensive) then I would go with the GSXR....

I've owned one. Great bike, almost killed myself, I highly recommend it.. Maybe go for an older mid 90's GSXR. Keep the price down till you figure out if bkes are for you.

Regards,
OK

Nova_Dust 23-Sep-2003 12:44 PM

It must be nice to own a bike... I wanted to ride one so badly but my family and Dee won't let me.... they think it is dangerous because in a car, as least you are inside a cage. On a bike, you are next to nothing...

I don't know if I will ever be able to own in my life time... but I say go with the Honda bike Jeff.

imported_SedanBoy 23-Sep-2003 12:59 PM

GSX R6, amazing bike, really well balanced.
but the CBR does have it's place in my heart.
can't really decide which i like better.

imported_Cablerat 23-Sep-2003 01:12 PM

r6

Cantonagod 29-Sep-2003 10:02 PM

Well today I went and bought one. Guess which one.

DumbasSi 29-Sep-2003 10:11 PM

Was it the very commom CBR, very rare Ninja, very fast R6, or very cheap GXR?

imported_civic_fan 29-Sep-2003 11:02 PM

go with the honda CBR 600 RR...really nice bike

SpikeyLee 30-Sep-2003 01:12 AM

A Honda!

That's my guess! :nods:

imported_chillinit 30-Sep-2003 02:20 PM

ducati 999 is a shooter bike!! its a nice bike...don't get me wrong but for the money...is blows!! waste of money...doesn't perform any better then the jap bikes which are about 1/3 of the price..if not less....as for the 600's....this is my opinion

600 cbr F41....good all around bike...good seating position and very rider friendly...very reliable

600 ninja ....haven't riden this bike but i heard good things about its performance but it looks like a bow tie from the front to me......lol.....looks like ass

yami r6....sweet bike....rode it manytimes....very fast for the 600 class but very intricate bike....not very forgiving if the rider makes an error....otherwise very light and nimble...good track bike...not a beginner bike

600 gsxer...very fast bike...awesome allround except for reliability...I have had bad luck with gsxr's...in terms of reliability..otherwise they perform like a mofo

there is the break down...ur decision should be based on what u want...performance/rider comfort/track oriented bike...etc....personally...it would be a go with a gsxr 600 if I had to stick to the 6 class....I'm a bigger guy then average..therefore the gsxr6 would be my choice....however I wouldn't keep it for too long.....

Gallagher 30-Sep-2003 02:24 PM

what did u get ?

Whiplash 30-Sep-2003 02:44 PM

hmmmm...GSX be my guess, tho me thinx you thought about the CBR for a long long time...

BOND007 30-Sep-2003 02:47 PM

bbarbulo 30-Sep-2003 05:04 PM
