what kind of rack..manual or power

I like my manual rack, anyone who say's it's hard to steer is a girl, I can use one arm to turn even at dead stall. Once I replaced my seized lower ball joints is loosened that **** up alot..

I dont think that is affected.

try a PS RACK with the PS part ripped out and an H22 in the bay.. Then you'll think a normal manual rack is heaven.

imported_SaYjAiBaO 17-Jun-2005 02:03 PM

manual feels 10x better when you're driving. when the car is running, i find the steering wheel to be more precise and easier to steer than my dad's accord with ps. the only b*tch about it is in the parking lots but you get used to it.

Gunmetalef 17-Jun-2005 02:13 PM

i like manual feels more responsive.. but when i'm driving with power its nice as well

imported_Dawson 17-Jun-2005 02:26 PM

i hate power steering on 4th gens i think its a waste but i love it on my 05 coupe makes it better for daily driving

Nova_Dust 17-Jun-2005 02:27 PM

Haven't done the Non-PS conversion, yet. Might get to it when I upgrade the tranny next year, if, I get to it.

meh only wussy's woudl find it hard at dead stall. Man I feel so weird driving ps now I practically rip the wheel off..lol

but man when by ball joints were seized that was a huge slut to steer I'm supprised my steering box didnt' explode from the amount of force I put threw that thing

I like the manual route, it feels like there is more connection with the road. IMO PS is only good for cars that wiegh over 3000 pounds otherwise it is unneccesary.

imported_JusBlaze 18-Jun-2005 07:28 PM

nah man manual is the way to go

sucks when you leaving the gym though and you work our your triceps and biceps

n1_taboo 18-Jun-2005 07:30 PM

i love manual...feels like a f1 car :D...

Honda rack and pinions are made to be adjusted if you think your power steering is to loose you need an adjustment .
power is the way to go unless draging or solo track racing.

imported_1.5dx2go 19-Jun-2005 03:13 AM

Manual rack all the way!! I allways convert my cars if I am looking for extra power and it didn't come with it from the factory that way.

imported_winner007 20-Jun-2005 07:27 PM

For Honda civics manuel isn't too bad. For some other cars manuel is a bitch. My car came with power steering, but my rack is leaking. I got a new 1 though.
