yeah the telus mike plan we have at work kinda sucks but w/e I dont pay so I dont care.. lol

But the coverage does suck, but I do like being able to mike to toronto from the falls or monteral or wherever..

but you dont get lots of areas with coverage outside the city.. like other carriers..

I mean if you go 1 hour 30 mins north of toronto, no coverage.. but with rogers the phone works 3 1/2 hours away.. ohwellz

Its simple beacuse your on the tdma mike network. Mike network is only strong in the gta and a little out in that range now with Pcs service Bell and Telus blows Rogers and Fido out the whole for reception anywhere. My ex's whole family and I went camping awhile ago and they all have rogers phones and guess who was the only one who had a working phone the weekend of .
If you care about constantly upgrading your phone to the latest and greatest (and that does mean coughing $$$ often) go with rogers but if you care about a phone that does its job well and gives you the best reception then its Telus/Bell

youd know more about this stuff than me, I just get what phone work gives me.. but when were up north (South hampton, Sable beach area if you dont know) the rogers phones work and the telus dont, that includes when we go to kilbear..

but I think were switching to bell..

Im not sure what they are planning, its just we get bad reception at hurontario and 401... where the shop is.. thats the problem...

it used to be at cawthra/queensway and no problem.. but when we moved in the summer to hurontario/401 we get bad reception..
but the thing I love is being able to Mike from montreal or places pretty far.. as long as it is in a city im good

With bell you wont notice any difference in reception. It's the same satellites

guess so, its not really my call anyway.. I just get what I get..Im sure they will check all that out and look into getting something with better reception in the area..

reception is not the only problem we have had with telus anyway...

We have set up meetings to get up new phones, they call to confirm.. then never show.. this has happened on multiple occasions..

They bill us wrong, take months to fix it.. then try and charge interest on us..
The plan is expensive, because we have had it for so long its an old expensive plan..

The other company I worked for one summer had telus for 3 months and dropped them because Bell offered a better deal and telus would not match(this was 2 years ago)... and the coverage was crap...

I personally love the phone and I dont leave the city to much, so its not so much my problem.. I love the mike feature to..

man last cell phone bill in Canada was in 2003 at the time I had 5pm till 8am free and weekends free, 15 cents a min with 500 text mssgs free, my average monthly bill was $230!

yeah, I get reception in niagara, montreal.. thats where ive tried it that I got reception outside of toronto.

I also had reception pretty much all the way to montreal when we drove there.
