Vegans - I don't get it

I've done a lot of stupid things in the past, and one of them was date a vegetarian chick who was considering becomming a vegan.

She felt bad for the wittle animals who were so innocent.

I am against destroying life for fun, but for nourishment, I think it's acceptable (no matter what life you destory)

Ordering steak to **** her off was really fun though..

Anyway, I know a couple of vegetarians who do not eat meat because they feel bad for them and say it's murder.

Some of these vegetarians eat fish, apparantly fish is okay. This means you need to pass a certain IQ test to be considered alive?

Isn't have a dedicated area of thought, the brain, enough?

Aside from this, and the fact that some of these idiots wear leather belts, shoes, or jackets, they never consider where their clothes come from, nor do they consider the damage the building, maintaining, and usage of automobiles does to the environment and the natural habitat for fluffy the squirrel.

Vegans are one step worse because they claim to not use anything derived from an animal because it harms life, but they have no problem using all of todays modern technological products available...

When you question why they drive cars and if they are aware of the harm it does to wildlife, they comment on how modern day society forces them to drive, use the bus, or use the subway station, they don't have a choice.

I myself would never break my morals and values because society tells me I should. If they made it impossible for me to live under my ethics, I would move....

basically I just wish to state that I think most vegetarians and virtually all vegans who are that way because they don't wish to kill life to sustain their own are ignorant hippocrites.

Feel free to add your opinion.. that's all this is.

Well to me theres so many other things that I rather do that worry about eating animals. Do those vegans or vegetarians ever think about what else they are doing to the enviroment? If they were so concerned over eating some animals, what about the other negative side effects there putting on this world, like smog from cars, greenhouse effect etc.

Now if you live in the jungle and built a house out of leaves anf stuff and don't have any technology, more power to you and your efforts, but i just laugh at vegans and veggies.

you put it well, to me it seems being a vegetarian is pointless especailly if your going to eat fish, what because there in the water that means there not living animals? and the ones that dont eat fish, do they wear lipstick (for the females or males for which it applies ) not to mention a number of candies that are made using animal parts. even erasers require animals.

but whatever, i think the thing that i saw that put it best was this show that paid people to do things that were against the "norm", like they got this women with long a$$ hair to shave her head for like 200 dollars, and they got these supposed vegans on stage, and said would they eat a hamburger, and they diodint even hold out for more money all of them ate the burger took the 50 bucks without blinking an eye, after that i havent taken vegetarians to seriously

I understand what they are trying to do. I get the veggie lifestyle ... (no I'm not one) what I don't get is this:

they have veggie Hot dogs and Hamburgers now. I mean whats the point? we know you want to only in veggies and hell I'm cool with that but why tyry to hide it by eating something that looks like meat? it makes no sense to me why they'd want to eat something that looks like meat... I mean your a vegetarian your going to eat different dishes then the rest of the humans thats cool why try to disgiuse it.

my cousin is a vegetarian, maybe hes vegan im not sure.
but yeah he won't touch anything meat, even the candies that caloge mentioned like gummy bears or jello that contain animal fat i believe.

i too rarely eat meat anymore, not because of the poor little animals, but tend to feel sick if i do.

i guess i'm kinda vegitarian, and its because i dont agree with how those big companies make the lives of the animals. maple leaf chickens are taken from egg to death never being able to live a life really. they get pushed into small cages with lots of there friends and just eat, then one day they are big enough and there killed. that just isn't right

an animal or human for matter dying is ok, its supposed to happen anyways, but how the meat and dairy industry operates is just so immoral...

that being said i do eat meat, cause its in our nature to, just not from huge companies that make millions off the clockwork life and death of what they sell

well, in one case religion forbids them to eat meat... I believe Hindus are like this. That I can respect. One of my favourite indian buddies is Hindu, and I'm totally 'bout it and I give him mad props for it and I try to be careful around him in terms of what I eat. Just straight outta respect

but these hippies that turn veggi at some point in their life are just weak. I mean, we DO belong in the food chain y'know. if you don't eat it, I will hahaha in fact, today alone I killed a turkey for breakfast, and then a pig for lunch.

BTW... did your veg g/f eat 'the other white meat' LOL

rick, how about our lives... we get shoved into school, then more school... then we get shoved into cubicles or work stations till we're useless, and then they send us into retirement when we're good and senile. and then charge our loved ones $5K+ to dispose of our bodies. is that any way to live?

i would def have to agree with bruce fee on this one. everyone's a damn hypocrite. kinda like how when ppl say to me..."using animals for ur expts is murder"...i juss look down and say..."hey, those r some nice leather shoes u got there" and i laff in their face. as if killing animals for ur own aesthetic pleasure is way better than sacrificing them for the progress of science and medicine. and frick...as if none of these ppl killed mice using some sort of mouse trap/sticky tape that makes them suffer at least i have respect for my animals and treat them as humanely as possible.
